In honor of all the awesome Supergirl posts I've seen today I thought I'd share my Agent Danvers cosplay which made it's debut at Wizard World Philly this year.

Oh, what am I doing at 3am? Why just the same as everybody else! Reading medical journals in the many uses of medical grade honey. Apparently, it will greatly benefit the healing of both the 2" laceration on my foot and the matching 2° burn on my right wrist.

Can we start referring to alarm clocks as screaming timepieces?

I have a story I feel like telling. Well, really it’s two. So, when you grow as a theater kid you often are told that life is not like what you see in the movies or musicals. The proverbial they always seem to forget that sometimes there are perfect moments that are. That chance is somewhat higher when you are surrounded by people who also theater people. The first story is a little more teeny bopper. I was in 8th grade on a bus coming back from a choir trip of some sort. So all the theater kids were being all cool sitting in the back of the bus and we started talking about stage kisses. We were discussing things like who we thought would could pull it off. Somehow it became a sort of daring situation. I’m not entirely sure how it happened, but somehow I ended up daring very pretty redhead to kiss me. I’m pretty sure I said something along the lines of “It’s super easy to kiss a guy, but could you kiss a girl.” Because I grew up in Pennsyltucky anything remotely gay was a little scary. Anyway we kissed, and basically tied for badass actresses. Secretly, looking back on it I totally won and should have figured out the whole bi thing a long time ago. The second story takes place in a dressing room before a show. What you need to know is that before showtime we would all hang out in the choir room, aka the girls dressing room, and to shake off some nerves we would sing just about anything. Completely normal. This guy, we’ll call him T, starts to sing “Come On, Get Higher”. I join him. We sing the song in a duet, which never happens in a room with 30ish people in it. This is how I can tell it must have been good. In the moment though I just felt like we were the only two people there. When the song ended, we ended it in the only logical way, a really simple kiss. We became aware of the other people when we heard the applause. Anyway those are my two perfect moments that let me believe that life can be just like a musical and sometimes things can really be that perfect.

This is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while. I think it speaks to me on a spiritual level. I have been in, I guess, sort of fits of rage where I have been making really stupid mistakes. I guess that they aren’t really mistakes because technically it worked. Just general not my best idea sorta things. Just an example, I was playing Arkham City and I was just was just flying in. Snipers be damned. I finished the mission with maybe one hit until I’d be dead. Then I realized that I could have just snuck around and took them all out one by one. But, doesn’t everyone love a little bit of a blase of glory.
