“No wa-ay! Dawn-- were you setting me up this whole time??” May gives a chipper laugh in her excitement, clasping her hands just before she speaks up again. “Well either way, it’s a great surprise! Slateport City, here I come!!”

“Well... why wait, then?” May giggles, her chipper laughter absolutely filling up the room. “There’s no time like the present, right? Just tell me where you are and Blaziken n’I will be there lickity-split: just. like. that!!”

“Dawn’s coming back?! Al-RIGHT, this is gonna be just like old times!!”

“Okay! All set!” She made her bubbly return, offering a slight giggle before they officially set off. It was such a pretty day, wasn’t it? As she walked along, inching closer and closer--May couldn’t help her love-struck compulsion to reach out for her companion’s hand. How far were they from the picnic site, she wondered...?

Okay. Not saying she was counting the days or anything? But she was definitely paying close attention to the calendar recently. Because today was Valentine’s Daaay!
