So for the last week we have. We've been pugsitting my other-in-law's #pug Monde. She was this wired the whole time. I swear our pug Karma got tired just watching her. She is now referred to as squirrel pug.

Up late working on the #ShockMonster #woodcut. Late night is always a good time for #printmaking. In the first test pull, I see a few flaws I want address, but overall I'm happy with it. I'll make a few adjustments, then start in earnest this weekend! But before that, I gotta buy some ink... I ran out. 😩. #monster #monsterkid #Mississippi #mississippiartist #Topstone #poorartist

#ShockMonster #woodcut all carved out. Right after I took this shot I put a couple of layers of spray shellac on it. After that dries for 24 hours, I'll do a test #print to see how it turns out. Fingers crossed. #printmaking #Mississippi #monsterkid #monster #mississippiartist

The bottom left is after a thin green wash was applied, and the right image is after I removed most of the wood, right after I had a blade break. Another #sketch in preparation for my next long term #project. #Legendary #guitarist #SonHouse will be another of my #music subjects. This will be a multi-part project for the next year, one #blues #legend a month, possibly with #prints offered. Size will be smaller than my 22x30 #KingoftheBlues #woodcut, and will probably be closer to a 10X12 paper size. I’m not really sure if I will do this series as a #woodcut or go back to #linoleum. #Mississippi #MississippiArtist #linocut #printmaking

Here is a sampling of the Baugher family #ChristmasCards for 2015. I printed these off of a mounted block of linoleum onto textured card stock paper. After the prints dried, I #handcolored them using colored pencils. The full process was rather rushed, I had to have them ready for the next morning, and was right around 5 hours. One of the difficulties was getting the same registration on each card, but I blame that on my rushing. Fifteen cards were printed that night, and my daughter Emily printed off two herself for her teachers. She will be coloring them tonight and delivering them this week. The next set will be slightly different, as I still need to make some for friends and family, and they will colored with watercolors instead of colored pencils. Also, I will put my mark on the back, as well as a small description. Enjoyed this project so far, but next year I am starting in September! #linocut #Christmas #Mississippi #MississippiArtist #printmaking
