And this is why I feel like this is why Bee is attached to Optimus and why he so loyal, Bee see how Megatron is with Starscream he see what Starscream has become because of Megatron, but Because Optimus is sweet and protective and loving, Bee lowkey gains a bird mindset like "he'd never do that to me", "he hasn't done it to me so why should I care", "Optimus loves me", but DEEP down..... Bumblebee knows Optimus has Flaws too but he chooses to make it seem like Optimus is this Flawless and all knowing Prime because he loves living in this fantasy world where nothing is wrong because Optimus to protecting them
(Also that Transformers Animated thing where Bee is lowkey a hoe YES!!! I agree he's gay and he's slept with most of Team Prime) cause to me Optimus x Bumblebee is "Ok" in SOME continuities because he and Bee are literally the same age!! And before anyone gets on to about "age gaps", half the fucking time Bee is quit literally a 23-year-old hanging out with a bunch of 30- 50-year-olds
The only exception to the rule is like you said G1 cause the animators wrote in the bios for Bee that's he has the mentality of a 19-year-old and of course GoGo continue Optimus quite literally raised him since he was a baby,

And actually that's why I love the bayvers movies lowkey cause in the last 2, with crosshair, drift, and hound everyone of them dose not care for Optimus besides Bumblebee, and lowkey love how they mess with Bumblebee cause they clearly see he depends on Optimus way to much, to me that why they mess with him cause he trust Optimus judgment too quickly like SERIOUSLY??? you don't even wanna question his decision! I also feel like because Optimus and Bumblebee are not related and how close they were, alot of Autobots definitely thought they were screwing at first then Optimus is like "oh i love him like a son" and everyone was like "ok!" And it's not like their going to questions Optimus about it. Ratchet dose but he mostly tries to finds out so he can shoves things under the rug for Optimus......

i feel like bees really an optimist [pun not intended] at heart when it comes to people [which is why i think theres so many crossfaction ships with him]. and especially when everyone around him is under op's influence too its just like. the autobot ranks depend so much on everyones loyalty to op, i mean this is a given for a lot of armies but specifically for transformers it just feels like a mirror of megatron.
and the cult leader thing. oooooooooh AUUGHHHH words cannot describe how much that fucks me up /pos. theres like so much manipulation optimus relies on in like all of his interactions he really does carry himself like hes the only guy in the room.. speaking of bayverse the one line i think about all the time is this one from AOE
