Just because your feelings are valid, this doesn't mean that every possible reaction to them is. Yes, it's okay to be angry - but it's not okay to take it out on someone by breaking their stuff. Your feelings are always valid, but you still have a responsibility for how you choose to express them.

an important reminder that feelings are not the cause of your actions, the same feelings can cause a range of different actions or none and it is your responsability to examine where the actions associated with your feelings come from and if they are appropriate or healthy

the best way i can explain this is, a feeling, let's say sadness, can influence you cry in your bed, can influence you to draw, influence you to stop showering, influence you to ignore your friends, influence you to drink, but which action you will perform is not a consequence of the feeling, the feeling is a component, but it does not dictates the action (that is why people on the usa punch walls when they get angry and here no one does it, because here (brazil) almost every wall is solid rock, and in thr usa it is made of paper apparently idk).

that is why learning to express in a healthy manner those feelings is so important. because if you think feelings cause actions you can do some pretty bad and unhealthy stuff and can accept behaviours from others that are not ok. so pay attention to how you express yourself, thing about where did you learn that feeling A is expressed by action B and become more aware of those processes

My friends. Being cautiously optimistic does not ”jinx” anything. There is no force in the universe which punishes us for having hope. There is no god waiting for us to stand up in order to knock us back down. If things do not get better, make no mistake, the only beings who are consciously sabotaging us are those humans denying us financial aid and health care. They are only people, and they can be defeated.

I will continue to hope.
