I am also a Pursuer fictionkin and an IQuot yumeshipper!! :D (i assume the latter is not too surprising…)

ok so. first thing which was already implied in the fic. iquot has basically been alone all their life (and typically Quots are heavily social creatures that rely on eachother to learn to survive), so they have like. verrrry little internalization of societal norms for Quots? so they are very strange compared to others. most of their uhh. moral compass is survival based I’d think? verrrry morally grey in my version. definitely the most notable part of this is the uh. cannibalism. they aren’t proud of it ofc (especially after learning that it is morally wrong) but they are very stubborn in their ways and they also like. don’t really see how it’s different from Quots eating humans? (many Quots tend to see themselves as superior to humans, despite being extremely similar to them in many ways)

I think if my iquot was like. raised normally they’d definitely hold most of those regular ideals (and would not have been forced to cannibalism of course), but would probably still end up rejecting some of them a little later in life, and wind up alone for a while :( (at the age of like 15-17) this mostly is from the facts that 1: they are almost never accommodated for their condition, either treated like a child or like they’re just being ‘lazy’ and 2: the lack of community with other Quots as well as their own self-consciousness definitely leading to feeling at least a liiiittle like they aren’t a Quot at all so. why not just embrace that? (go my voidpunk iquot……….) i don’t know if my iquot would kin anything specific, but definitely would feel much more connected with pursuer than any quot they’d met before? (which is a bit ironic given that my pursuer feels kinship with Quots out of a desire for companionship, and having a very similar mind to one but that can be a different thing)

many things i can say with iquot and pursuer’s relationship…. initially they did meet on like. EXTREMELY bad terms (both were half convinced the other would kill them, to be fair Pursuer did attack IQuot at first meeting out of hunger ._.”) but gradually they do warm up to eachother, and realize they have a lot in common. IQuot also definitely was a lot more closed off before meeting Pursuer, and pretty convinced that companionship wouldn’t do anything for them. surprisingly they were the one to fall in love first though.

ALSO! thing that may or may not be detailed more in a separate fic that I make verrrry far in the future, IQuot’s relationship with Pursuer changes their worldview and lets down their walls enough to also let in MeQuot as found family :D uh. and to some degree Devesto. stealing @/silverstyff’s headcanon that IQuot fucking HATES his ass 💔. probably would see him as a chud ass loser who relies too much on the F3X and has no actual strength. has no clue what MeQuot could possibly see in that guy.
