Now, before I continue something I should make clear is that I’ve been aiming to make a bunch of my otp’s in the game, of which include souyo and pegoryu and it’s been going ok so far like yosuke instantly caught feelings for yu/souji after he helped him up after he tripped (I KNOW CANON AND CUTE) and pegoryu has just been platonic. So everything’s going great, right?

I desperately need someone to tell me why REN/Akira and Souji/Yu KEEP TRYING TO GET TOGETHER IN MY ISLAND LIKE

First time, Yosuke (I KNOW!!) got the courage to confess to Yu/Souji and it was going so cute!! I told him to confess desperately bc that kinda reminded me of his confession in the cut romance route and AHHH ADORABLE. BUT THEN. REN/AKIRA JUST POPPED IN AND WAS LIKE “The one who loves Founding Father is me!!” (Yes I did make REN/Akira’s nickname for Yu/Souji be Founding Father. It works cause vice versa Yu/Souji calls him Replacement. I wanted them to be reallyyyyy salty if you couldn’t tell).But going back on track; SIR.DIVA. You have met this man 3 TIMES. HE IS WAY OLDER THAN YOU??? Like ik you don’t discriminate (COUGH KAWAKAMI) BUT MY GOODNESS.

And the worst part? The worse part is that YU/Souji FREAKING CHOSE REN/AKIRA???? NOT HIS BEST FRIEND BUT THE GUY WHO FREAKING REPLACED HIM. (Logically I know the reason why was cause Yu/Souji was closer to Ren/Akira at the time, despite my MULTIPLE efforts to make them hang out with their actual best friends but I’m still salty; which is exactly why when they asked me what I thought abt their relationship I told them hell no)

Side note, can I just say dealing with a heartbroken Yosuke is NOT for the weak, like I tried making him a bunch of personalized treasures (His summer outfit to replace his school girl one, a record based on the ones in his room, his headphones, etc..) and this man was STILL crashing out over his totally platonic partner. Eventually I learned from Reddit that the best way to help a depressed Mii was to send them on vacation so I sent him off to the US and wished him good luck. (He got better)

Anyways, the second time, this was about 1 day after all of that, souyo is NOT looking so good; Yosuke still has feelings but Yu/Souji has now considered Yosuke as a friend but it’s still pretty low. So I thought, hey! What if I send Yu/Souji on a trip (where he’ll probably bring along Yosuke) so their relationship level increases! Amazing plan, if I say so myself, and should be completely foolproof considering Yosuke’s practically been the only one hanging out with Yu/Souji (due to a bit of meddling)

Sigh. However moving on again to about a week later, yall will NEVER believe what happened, Yu/Souji FINALLY FINALLLYYYYY developed MUTUAL feelings for Yosuke (YIPPEE!!!!!) and they’re both just pining idiots (and still are). So, if you’re like me, you’d think everything is going great and FINALLY everything is chill now.

But more importantly, WHY DO YOU KEEP TRYING TO MAKE YU/SOUJI X REN/AKIRA HAPPEN??? LIKE YOU HAVE THE ABSOLUTE CUTIE THAT IS RYUJI ON UR ISLAND AS YOUR BSF GO AFTER HIM, NOT SOME GUY BORN IN 1994????
