i keep saying to myself that deltarune fans should watch princess tutu because they have so many similar themes of agency, fighting against a predetermined fate and meta elements that relate to the relationship between an author and their fictional work... there are probably a lot more similarities but the truth is that i myself haven't watched princess tutu in Years so i don't actually remember a whole lot of it aside from the central themes of the story...

that is to say: deltarune fans should absolutely watch princess tutu ( and that includes me!!!) not just because it has similarities to the game but also it's just Really Good!

being a steven universe fan, and also a fan of undertale & deltarune can be so exhausting sometimes because both of these franchises treat their characters with so much empathy & compassion & also make a point on how there's no unsympathetic character and how every character acts the way they do Not because they were "born evil" but because of the circumstances of how they were created/the stuff that happened to them...

and then you see people online trying to argue which character is the most "Irredeemable" and "inherently evil"...and how certain characters "deserved to be punished for their actions" and how they as a result "shouldn't be seen as sympathetic or taken seriously like that"... like I think we've lost the plot a lil bit

#do not get me started on the way people constantly want utdr to have an irredeemable character that is just “pure evil”#as if that sort of character doesn't literally exist in 99% of other media #su #deltarune
