All creators in SSR Confidential 2022 are now revealed, and the anonymous period is over! You may post your works to Tumblr or elsewhere, discuss them, and otherwise do whatever you like with them.

Go forth, browse, enjoy! Don't forget to comment on your gift! 

Gifts will remain anonymous for a week. Please keep what you made secret for that time to preserve the surprise! After that, you can cross-post anywhere that you normally would (Tumblr, etc) and do whatever you like with it.

Everyone has a gift, and we are on track to open on time on Wed., Aug. 10 at 10am Alaska time -- that's 2pm Eastern/6pm UTC. Treats (extra gifts) for participants are still gladly accepted, and will continue to be accepted until the anonymous period ends on Wed., Aug. 17. 

Let me know if you have any questions about how to submit treats. You can look at all the requests on AO3 here if you’d like to find someone to make a treat for!

This is a reminder that your SSR Confidential assignments are due on Aug. 3! How's it going for everyone?

You do NOT have to check in with me (that is, you won’t be dropped from the exchange, there are no penalties, it’s fine!). But if you want to, there is a check-in post on our Dreamwidth comm (all comments are screened) and you can also send me a DM or an ask if you’re having trouble, have questions, or just want to let me know how it’s going.

Please continue to keep your assignment secret so your giftee will be surprised! If you need a response directly from the mods, you’ll need to either send a DM or attach a name to your ask so I can message you privately.

Assignments have been sent! You’ll get your assignment at your AO3 email and can also check it on your assignments page on AO3.

Please contact me immediately by DM or ask if you got something you didn't offer or don't think you can work with. Also feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Keep in mind that I can’t respond privately to anonymous asks.

Otherwise, have fun! Assignments are due Wednesday, Aug. 3, and can be posted to the AO3 collection at any point before then; they will remain hidden until I reveal them in August. 

Posted assignments need to be complete (not placeholders) but you can continue editing them up to the reveals deadline.

We've had a nice little flurry of last-minute signups, and there are lots of different pairings and characters being requested this year, from the bigger pairings like Peggy/Angie (good Cartinelli rep this year!) and the SSR OT3, to What If? Peggy, Jack & Vernon, crossovers and more! All pairings and characters are welcome, with a minimum of just 1 request and offer.

(btw, I hope you don't mind me doing a public answer to this, but I thought others might have the same questions!)

Letter is completely optional. That would be if you had more details than you wanted to put into the description box and gives you the option of linking to an external Tumblr post, Google doc, or the like. You can just leave it blank.

In Description (which in retrospect I probably should've called something else), put in any details for what you want or don't want to help your creator. This is also optional, but highly recommended! If you click on the Requests Summary, you can see the kinds of things that other people have put there.

Usually the most important thing to put here is anything you really don't want that would ruin a gift for you, and you can also talk a little about what specific kinds of things you might like - e.g. do you like smut, do you definitely not want smut, do you like action and case fic, do you want to suggest some scenarios that you might enjoy in a gift fic? Another thing you can talk about here are some of the things that you enjoy in canon about the character or pairing you requested.

Like, as an example, if I had requested Peggy and Jack, I might write something like this: "I really enjoyed their banter and slowly developing friendship in the show (episode 1x05 is my favorite!), and I'd prefer to have them working together and getting along rather than being on opposite sides. Some things I would enjoy: hurt/comfort, working a case together, an AU with magic or shapeshifters (I love werewolves!), stuck in a hotel room with only one bed, bickering during a case gone wrong, or having to deal with a baby or kitten or other small cute creature. Please, no major character death or other pairings for Jack."

Or something like that! It can be long or short, but it does help to tell your creator some of the types of things you like. It's hard to create for someone with no guidance at all.

The tagset will remain open throughout signups, so if you don't see the character or relationship that you want in the signup form drop-down, you can add it! I've preloaded it with a basic set of relationship and characters, but others are welcome. At least one person involved must be an Agent Carter character.

New this year:

We are now using the Relationship rather than Character field, so when nominating tags, you can simply use the canonical version of a relationship if one exists. Individual characters should have "Solo: " before their name, e.g. "Solo: Peggy Carter." There is no need to disambiguate.

This year, you can request and/or offer as few as just one character and/or relationship. People who only have one request or offer may be asked to add another one if they turn out to be extremely hard to match, but we'll try to avoid it.

May was a lot, so things are a bit later than planned, but SSR Confidential is back for 2022! Here is the revised schedule:
