Seblaine: Early Morning

Blaine playfully rolled his eyes at the slur on the coffee, and nudged Sebastianâs arm in response. âThen youâll just have to show me whatâs the best around here. I need a good shop to write in. The smell is relaxing.â Blaine shook his head at him and chuckled. âUnfortunately, since Iâve just moved, I havenât seen many things or done⌠many people,â He snickered, âBut yeah. Itâs so much better here. I couldnât think of a better place to jump into journalism. Dâyou wanna know what there is to write about in California? Coachella, wineries, surfing, and Hollywood Scandal. All the best gossip magazines want stalker photographers to misconstrue anything they can. Iâm not saying thatâs obsolete in New York, but here? Thereâs economics, the UN, politics? God, I would love to write for The Times someday.â He shrugged. âItâs just better⌠and Iâm totally rambling. Howâs your medical prerequisites going?â
âI will, and youâll love it. The ambiance is way better and thereâs smooth folk music playing,â he said, making a mental note to bring Blaine to his favourite coffee shop next time they hung out. He laughed then. âYou have plenty of time for all that now that youâre here, and Iâll help you. Either with the sights or with getting you laid,â he offered, being a good guide and wingman. It was cute that Blaine had so many aspirations in life, and he hoped he made it and fulfilled his dreams. âUh, itâs going well. Iâm starting my first residency next week. Hopefully we wonât have too many dramatic cases right off the bat, because Iâd like to ease into it, but who knows?â he grinned. He loved the adrenaline that came with the job, and couldnât wait to actually be in the field. âDad wanted me to follow the law route, but itâs really not my thing. Iâll leave Hunter to it and I flipped the bird to my father. Figuratively speaking,â he snorted.
