I can’t believe i didn’t realize this until he said this

So y’all know how Will has been the center of attention for season 1 and 2, mainly by his family bc he’s in peril

And in season 3, he didn’t really get any attention and felt super left out 

I forgot that El is joining the Byers family, meaning Will isn’t really the baby anymore, meaning he’s probably not gonna get as much attention as he used to in previous seasons

I thought El was gonna push him away bc of losing Hopper and her powers and whatnot, but naw, it looks like Will might push her away bc he could be jealous as the attention he’s no longer gonna get ;-;

I mean, it’s understandable, poor kid was focused on for a long time then all of a sudden people acted like they didn’t even want to be around him once he was okay

Noah said Will is gonna pretty much be getting a break, that it’s not gonna be a very scary season for him (which might be a lie) but it doesn’t mean it wont break my heart 

Yo waddup nerds i made a really bad theory post last time so here’s a better one XD

sorry i always get so caught up with the idea of the hero turning bad that i fail to see actual evidence of anything else so here’s that now with my actual theories on season 4

so 1. brenner’s coming back and he’s continuing his experiments

and not only that it looks like El’s going back to him one way or another and will be getting her powers back possibly from the same experimental drugs as MKUltra. we know that the kids born from those affected by the drugs gained powers, while the adults had minor abilities, so it would make sense for brenner to try to reactivate her powers through the same experiment, and it would be interesting to see what effects the drugs would have on her directly, seeing as she’s had the powers before. Maybe it could make them unstable, make her unstable, or make her more powerful than before, maybe even weaker, im not sure. One thing’s for sure, however, El is def the person standing in front of the explosion in the end of the recent trailer and is donning a newly shaved head

How am i sure about this? Leaks from the sets of the season show many kids ranging in age with the same hospital gown the kids had in Hawkins Lab, including one person with a scar on their leg who’s face was hidden, who is most likely El given the leg scar, meaning that this is 100% in the present time and not just flashbacks. Leaks also show El’s body double in the pizza van with a shaved head, wearing the exact same thing she was in the trailer with the two guys holding her back, and when she was in front of the explosion

2. the gang is going back to Hawkins.

It’s literally a 33 hour drive but hey what’s a road trip between pals. We can see everyone from Cali in the van (mainly body doubles) and they’re in downtown where the shops are closed, meaning it’s 100% Hawkins. So surprisingly they are meeting up again, which i didnt expect considering how far away Cali is from Indiana.

3. New characters

There are a ton of new characters leaked and revealed, one including a character named Vickie who might be Robin’s love interest, and a dude named Ashe, who looks to be one of the past experiments. Excited to see that pan out

4. Will and Mike might have some issues

I got caught up with these 2 script leaks that ended up being fake but it did bring something to mind. Mike most likely did tell Will to promise to keep El safe and help her with everything. If El’s being bullied by the two new characters, there’s a chance Mike will take that out on Will for not helping her. Im curious to see how El and the Byers’ relationships will go, and hopefully we get some nice family moments with them, esp Will and El bc i need them to be brother and sister already. They’ve barely interacted considering she saved his life and I just need that. Also pls don’t hurt my boy he’s already been through enough :(

5. Duffer’s mention El’s story is gonna be based off Carrie and Firestarter

I don’t have the exact details on that bc i just saw a post mentioning it, bc this could go for her entire story. If it’s specifically for season 4, then it this might be insane. Carrie was bullied and destroyed her school with her powers, then killed the 2 main bullies in their car. That reminds me of the fire car scene in the trailer and the 2 main bullies that El has to deal with. Then Firestarter is about a little girl who was the result of experiments on her mom and dad and gave her powers that grew over time as her and her dad ran from the people who did that to them. They get captured and experimented on but escape, and the dad dies while the child destroys everyone who tried capturing them and escaping. Reminds me of Hopper and El, as well as the fact El is going back to Brenner in this season. So with both of those, we might see El go apeshit and honestly im here for it. Yes girl, go murder some people, you’ve earned it. Legit though, I’m curious to see if they’re gonna make her question her morality again like in season 2. She’s capable of killing people with remorse. She’s capable of revenge. Let me see it

6. Mike is gonna have an emotional season

The Duffers and Finn Wolfhard said that MIke is gonna have some big stuff in season 4 including a powerful monologue near the end of production (which im taking as near the end of the season). And we’re getting emotional Mike which Im so excited for. What could he be doing the monologue for? He could just be hyping up the team to kick some ass but that doesn’t sound emotional enough. He could be trying to talk someone down from something, maybe El if my theory is right and she goes apeshit either from the drugs or just from anger(or the Mind Flayer idk take your pick). It could be something more meaningful like telling El how much he loves her or telling Will how much he cares about him(after treating him like garbage last season). After season 3 im excited to see his character grow from being a jerk like that

7. Ashe and Number 1

The Duffers had made it apparent they don’t want any comic books with number 1, they can have any other number but not 1. (as stated by people behind the number 6 comics). There have been rumors that Ashe’s story was going to be continued and solved in season 5 aka the finale, so he’s gonna be a very important character. We don’t know what number he is, most likely 7. Do they connect? Idk, maybe maybe not. Maybe the Mind Flayer is number 1. All I know is they’re important.

I JUST FOUND SOME STUFF OUT FOR STRANGER THINGS S4 AND I THINK IT MIGHT JUST SUPPORT MY LEADING THEORY ON WHAT WILL HAPPEN THIS SEASON AS WELL AS GIVE ME A BIT MORE THAN I THOUGHT

So, i saw this title breakdown and it doesn't offer very much tbh, much less of a breakdown and more of a review, but it did have a couple of actual theory and breakdown bits

#1. it points out that there are mistranslations of episode 3 and episode 9 in the other languages for the title release

#2 it mentions how Dacre is reviving his role of Billy for Dear Billy, but i wont be going into that

im gonna focus on #1 bc this is wild

"The Monster and the Superhero" is translated, in the Spanish titles, is translated back to "Monster or Superheroine?" and "The Piggyback" was, in the different title languages, "Stowaway, The Infiltration, The Plan, Eleven's Plan, The Stealth Plan, The Guest, The Host".

As pointed out by Stranger Universe, The Piggyback's translations are way too different and specific (esp Eleven's Plan) to be a normal mistranslation. I feel "The Monster and the Superhero" was translated differently in the Spanish version specifically to let us know these are both intentional "mishaps".

The Monster and the Superhero can't be translated (at least from my knowledge) to Monster or Superheroine? so easily. Maybe The Monster and the Superheroine sure bc the masculine and feminine terms are different by just 1 word (la or el). Changing that+ the "y" to an "o" to make it "or" and changing it to a question is def intentional.

I agree with SU, I thought it might be a Will or El episode, mainly Will, as it originally fit him, but now im almost certain it's an Eleven episode as it is most likely referring to her thinking she was a monster back in season 1.

But that begs the question

Why is this question being asked?

Getting into the Piggyback episode title translations, it's pretty much proven that this might not be the final name of the episode once it releases. SU mentions how they've changed titles before, i dont think this will be any different. My thought is the title will end up being one of the variations of the translations, or something very similar to one of them. These titles make me think of my theory on the Mind Flayer awakening inside Eleven due to the possibility of her being infected, which caused her powers to disappear, her blood to shift, her leg to heal so quickly, and why her world spun the way Billy's did when he first got infected. Also don't forget about Vecna's curse, read up on it from my last post.

I thought this might've happened at the final season but if it happens now im not griping im all for it

So here's the full breakdown/theory with these pieces+the trailer breakdowns:

The season will begin as normal with Mike reading the letter from El, the Byers getting used to their new life in Cali, and everyone else coping with the rest of their stuff. (I wont go into details only the new stuff). The kids+Steve and Robin go visit Victor Creel bc they found out about what happened with him for some reason and he tells them what happened to him. He maybe goes crazy near the end or kills himself (as part of Vecna's curse is the power will fail when the user is at their doom, or he might just be a Nothic;someone seeking archane knowledge, turned into a lifeless husk in loop). Kids+teens go to his house to check it out and find the strange clock(or they just go there without visiting Creel, but it mentions him in a mental hospital so i doubt it), possibly link to the upside down. Reason? IDK we havent gotten that far.

El and Will are vibing at school, maybe some weird things begin happening to make them question if everything's fine. Now in the other seasons, things don't ramp up too much until at least the 3rd episode, so im not sure if the van+car chase+desert scenes would take place in Vecna's Curse or The Monster and the Superhero, considering that seems to be a pretty big part. El will get kidnapped by what I'm guessing is the U.S. CIA. The might have snatched her because she knew she was alive and had to shut down a Gate that either Hawkins officials or the Russians opened, which is the bunker scene where the door in the desert is surrounded by military. The people in the bunker have MP on their arms like some Hawkin's people had (season 1 the guy letting Hopper and his guys into the lab). Military police vs people in military uniform, and military uniform guys broke through the Byers house so im not sure who is the bad guy here.

Mike probably was supposed to visit El to begin their Spring Break stuff that day, as we see him in the trailer when the guys break in and we see him, Will and Argyle in the Pizza van in the desert, possibly going after them. Then El is brought out after they killed all the guys in the bunker, possibly to either be shown as "hey we have the child don't come any closer" to Mike and Will, or to get her in there to shut down the (supposed) Gate. The way she looks in the trailers seems like shes either using her powers or in some great distress, more than usual. That's where my theory comes in about the MF. The MF is weak and dormant due to the Gates' closure, so maybe when she gets near the Gate here, the MF awakens, giving her back her powers and she just obliterates everything, making the helicopter in the scene cause the explosion that someone looking like El is standing in front of in the trailer. The hair is putting me off, as it looks shorter, but from so far away it's hard to tell bc she had a ponytail, but idk i have no idea what's going on there, it could just just a whole different character or El got her head shaved by Dr. Brenner or smth but im really not sure. It is really throwing me off so much and is so irritating

Now less detail, I feel like the titles and these scenes are going into my theory on how El might have to fight with inner (literally) demons and decide if she's a hero or villain. The last few titles referencing Hawkings Lab, Dr. Brenner and having a weird last episode title that is hinting at El maybe becoming a villain is throwing me for a loop here

Maybe in order to gain her powers back, she has to go back to where it began in some way

Maybe it's the influence of the MF, as we know Vecna's Curse is gonna play a role here and having a piece of Vecna in your body gives you power but makes you become pretty much possessed

The last titles saying infiltration or stealth or Eleven's plan or the Host is like??? wow that's a lot

Heres all the stuff I'm gonna go into, lets begin

The titles for this season are Here are the titles: The Hellfire Club, Vecna's Curse, The Monster and the Superhero, Dear Billy, The Nina Project, The Dive, The Massacre at Hawkins Lab, Papa, The Piggyback

Vecna is a dnd wizard-turned-lich. Those who seek arcane knowledge can be cursed to become Nothics, which are monsters who are a shell of their former selves, sulking forever. Another curse from Vecna is his eye and hand, which can replace that part of someone and give them powers from each part(there are a few other parts but these are the important ones), the eye can let the user see through pretty much everything physical or not, and the hand gives the user the power to kill things by touch, incredible strength, can even cast spells. These artifacts can turn the user evil through possible possession.

This sounds a lot like Victor Creed. He mustve been affected by the Mind Flayer or something else that has similar powers to Vecna, and made him kill his family. Maybe he sought something he wasnt supposed to. Also, the hand and eye will fail the user when its their time to die, so maybe when Creed tries to help the kids in their search, he kills himself/dies from the curse.

Also this the 2nd time we've gotten a dnd character reveal, so that means eirher 1, this will be a whole new character, or 2 it will just be another piece of the MF

Now, the Nothic thing has me thinking, who is the wizard in the party? Will. Who else is a magic caster? El. Either one of them could be a target for this dark magic, perhaps El due to the fact she no longer has her powers. She might be willing to do anything to get them back, esp if she knew hopper was still alive.

We know that we're going to see Els life in the lab, from the trailer "Eleven, are you listening?". And theres blood on some of the objects. Maybe thats Massacre at Hawkins Lab. Dive could be literal since there was a pic of Steve under water(I think it was leaked?), or could refer to El diving into her memories, possibly to find out what they did to her in order to get her powers back, or find another number.

The Nina Project is 100% Russian ep, no doubt in my mind on that, i dont think it could be anything else

And now we're almost certain "Papa" is alive based on the title and season 2.

El and Will are now in Cali, and shit hits the fan real quick

El is seen in a van/car and later being held back by two men I'm assuming are from Hawkins Lab. Theres a scene with military cars and a helicopter going to this remote area that seems to be a bunker. Then theres a scene with what i can only assume is El(based on clothing) standing in front of an explosion with dead people surrounding it-either 1. She got her powers back and went apeshit on them, the way she's standing there is unsettling; fists are clenched, its a strong stance. Maybe they were trying to put her in a sealed bunked bc they thought she was dangerous but she tore them up. It could be someone else bc the hair is short, but i doubt it due to the clothing and her hair is in a ponytail so it could be in front in the scene.

Joyce gets a nesting Russian doll from Russia bc of the stamps, and we know Murray uses those things, so perhaps a warning,and we see Murray looking shocked after hearing something on his headphones

Then there's people shooting inside of the Byers house with Will, Mike, Johnathan and someone else trying to get away/out, so perhaps theyre there for El

A scene with the 2 men waiting outside a cafe at night, maybe stalking El/the Byers?

A scene of people wearing MP helmets vs I'm guessing the US based on uniform. So possibly Russians vs the US

Ok so remember in season 3 how El got her leg all fucked up by the Mind Flayer? Do you remember how they needed to cut it open with a knife to get that one piece out? Yeah not normal. I barely saw anyone talking about the fact her blood was moving on the ground after they left the store, and Billy found it instead of following the piece of the MF in her leg instantly.

So not only was her blood moving the way the MF does in flesh form but Billy went to it before following the flesh piece and they had to cut her leg open, which wouldnt be needed since the wound was hella deep, the wound wouldnt heal that fast. It was completely healed in a matter of hours. She legit collapsed the way Billy did. Then she lost her powers after using up the remaining strength to yeet the flesh piece out. Ive been theorizing this since I saw the eps: The MF is still in her and is laying dormant like a disease, possibly the reason she lost her powers due to them being controlled by the brain which the MF would have easy access to(like avatar bookbinding). Perhaps it would awaken once the gate is open near her? Maybe it isnt like that and she just overused her powers? Maybe her overuse of power is exactly what the MF needed to shut them down from the inside. The MF disease theory could be the explosion scene.

We might see El trying to get her powers back in a fucked up way, maybe the visions could be something like Vecnas eye.

Will seems to also play a big role in this as he is another wizard of the party and has connection to the MF

Infodump story:

Takes place after Wizards, the main difference is that Jim doesn’t come back to life after he turns to stone.

Claire takes his body to Douxie’s library to keep him safe and hidden from the Arcane Order or other things

Everyone’s messed up after his death, but Claire can’t let go, so she uses the library as her temporary home to stay close to Jim, and find a way to bring him back, alive and human

She finds a spell in the shadow magic book that was in the library (the one from wizards) The spell requires a honing gem and the soul of the user

She uses the spell, which includes fusing the gem with the user’s body and soul (the gem takes in energy and pushes magic into the user’s body and soul, making them more powerful and closer to the magic they’re using, which is not good for someone using shadow magic, esp since it gets stronger each time it’s used)

Claire goes back and forth between Earth and the Shadow Realm to slowly heal Jim’s soul and body, trying to save his human half, having to stop whenever his beast soul interferes, but each time it gets better

This takes a couple of months, and Claire still does research to find other ways to speed it up, and the gem slowly corrupts her with the shadow magic flowing through it

At some point, she begins to see things, including the ghost of Merlin, because apparently he put in a safety net on the spellbook’s stronger magics, so he just kinda annoys tf outta her trying to get her to come back to her senses (because of course he does)

After a while, she begins to close herself off from the others, thinking that if anyone comes close to Jim or tries to touch or speak to him, it’ll break her connection to him and she’ll have to restart her work, so she becomes protective, possessive, and obsessive on fixing him

Her body starts showing signs of corruption (kinda like the end of season 2)

After 2 months, Toby finally convinces her to come and hang out with the others for 1 night to celebrate how far they’ve come (and get her a** outta Doux’s library, rip Doux) 

She feels a spark from Jim’s human soul and books it back, to which the others follow to the library to find Jim’s body showing glowing cracks

She goes back to the Shadow Realm to force his soul into his body one last time, which works, but she has to quickly heal his physical form or he’ll be lost forever

A fight breaks out as she loses herself to the magic and obsession to save Jim

In the fight, she uses all her power to keep the others away and heal Jim’s body, which corrupts her completly

By the end of it, Jim is alive and human, but all that’s left of Claire is a shadowy figure, her purple eyes, hair streak, and gem being the only color in her design

She goes to the Shadow Realm, scared of what she became and overwhelmed with the new feeling, or lack there of

Her shadow form is very distant from her old self, and the longer she stays like that, her memories fade more and more, and she becomes more like a feral shadow creature

Jim is now connected to her because of the shadow magic and can feel her, and use her magic, and visa versa

Claire’s memories fade, but the one thing that remains the longest is Jim, or at least the feeling of his soul

She tries to hold on to her old self, but it’s pretty futile

I haven’t figured out the story after that, like if Claire can become normal again or stays like that forever
