Smokers and obese people will be denied surgery on the NHS by cash-strapped hospitals trying to save money, senior health officials have warned. Vale of York Care Commissioning Group has announced it will make people wait up to a year for non-essential surgery if they are overweight, until their body mass index (BMI) drops to 30. The group said the decision has been made as “the best way of achieving maximum value from the limited resources available”.

We cannot condemn enough this disgusting move from the already well known senseless British government supported by every of their voters.

This is the fatphobia in the health system that many people refuse to acknowledge. This is the fatphobia that gets fat people killed. THIS IS IT.

So they shame fat people with fear-mongering “If you’re not skinny you’re gonna die!” But are blatantly murdering fat people themselves by denying us surgery. Complaining about limited resources but spend billions on weight loss products to try and eradicate fat people. This is so wrong. It’s basically saying “we don’t feel like helping you so we’re gonna let you die”.

Doctors, therapists, insurance companies… all sorts of categories in the medical field… so not care about fat patients. Fat bias is widespread in the medical world, and this type of thing is the result.

People wonder why I’m so passionate about this. This is why. This whole “I don’t like how you look and I don’t want to take the time to deal with you so just die alreadg” attitude is why I care.

size 28+ people, where do you get your underwear? i’ve been wearing lane bryant CACIQUE underwear since middle school, and their briefs fit me well, but they’re really expensive and they fall apart REALLY fast now.

i’ve tried torrid underwear but the leg holes were weirdly big. please be specific as possible, like… model numbers and sizes. haha. i’m desperate ! i wish i was a little kid so i could just get a 5 pack.
