Anyway it wouldn't be an actual AU, just a silly project? Where it's a dating sim type thing with fake screenshots and dialogue and options. And Paul would be the "protagonist" and he'd have four romance routes (we love the bisexual disaster of a guy).

Hot Bartender (obviously) Right (bc he's the main character in the canon plot) Brent (bc everyone tries to keep Paul away from him in canon so I think it would be funny) Karen (bc they are truly best friends and I can see it being a cute romantic but platonic at the same time ending)

And then there would be the side characters because otome and dating sims alike have wonderful side characters. So that'd be Chris and Evelyn as the general route side characters but each route introduces side characters based on which route. For example, HB's route would include James and Lindsey, two other bartenders. Chris and Evelyn would still be in the routes no matter what, but with less frequency in HB's. But then you would have them more prominent in Karen's route.

It's so much thinking about something I'm too lazy to draw.

I just think it would be really funny to see dialogue options for the romance routes cause Paul is a menace to society and would probably have some unhinged replies he can give. Or he can be "more behaved" in some answers. And you gotta pick which would be more appropriate. But knowing the romance options, they'd probably all like the unhinged answers more? Except maybe Brent at the start?

So the current stuff I've been posting on moeblob (the brown shaded doodle page and the guy I posted today) are just part of a big ass group for me to world build and have lore and a big cast but basically no plot. I don't care about a plot for em, I just want to give interactions and lore my attention. I'm bad at writing anyway.

In the doodle page, I know it might be harder to tell because it's all just shades of brown, I have Paul and HB there as a potions maker/seller and .... some hot guy. I don't know what HB does yet other than be gay for Paul. So it got me thinking about who else I kind of wanted to give a variation to and somehow I settled on the Trickster and the Traitor from the Game of Death plot.

Now, in their base plot, they are just at this point best friends (though they have dated in the past) and the one person in the friend group that the Traitor refuses to betray is his best friend, the Trickster.

So I was thinking about it and how to insert that into a different world with gods and humans and magic and other mystical races and workings.... and settled on Trickster becomes the God of Time in the other world. He's just out to have fun. He is filled with whimsy and still commits to the bit all the time (much to other people's and gods/goddesses' annoyance) but also thousands of years ago he just. Found a guy and was like "oh I love him! Best friend and romantic interest hello!" and that's the Traitor. Who, since he isn't betraying anyone in particular this time just gains the title of "Mortality's Traitor" because despite his human origin, Time refuses to let him die.

Time just keeps him young like when they met (aka young adult) and occasionally tosses him in a time loop for enrichment which is always met with "I'm gonna solve this loop just like the rest! Just you wait!" and that's how he got some gray streaks. "It was a really stressful time loop, okay. But! Time and I agreed I look better like this so he didn't reverse it."

so it gets to him threatening someone, wife present, but along the lines of

"well, i do try to give people one pass if they cross me lightly. :3" "dear, you already gave this one a pass." "ah! that changes everything! i would recommend you get yourself an ally you can trust as much as i trust her but you wont be around for that chance"

he just loves his wife so much and she loves him and she admires how much love he has towards her? like she never would have expected that much devotion towards her. so she is rightfully devoted back! (her past was less than great vs his very entitled past)

and the husband is just at first glance a regular guy, nothing too stand out. but before he even met his wife he just performed a super casual ritual and gave some of his blood to form a contract with a demon. a "night on bald mountain" from fantasia type demon. a big fella. and the thing is, the demon isn't stupid? but while he doesnt keep mental track of things, the man is incredibly manipulative and wonderful at wording things in his favor that don't even register as a bad deal to the other person (or demon) until after they agree. "no take backs"

so thinking about them and how the married couple just genuinely love each other and he trusts her more than literally anyone else in his life! and their daughter one day looks around, confused, and asks "wheres the other papa" which .... what? what other? papa? huh?

so he looks to his wife and is just "darling? who did you introduce to her?" because he knows without a doubt she's not cheating but also he's really not sure what friends they have that they'd trust with their daughter.

OK SO me doodling designs bc I couldn't decide on if I wanted the leads to be girls or boys so I designed both and then it has been decided: the girls win lead roles. However, I like the boys enough that they're just gonna be the older brothers but not as important.

Gray haired girl (Light for now) has light powers! and navy haired (Dark for now) has dark powers. They come from commoner families and grew up in the same village where magic is already rare (since commoners) and out of the five adults that do have magic, none are light/dark aligned. So the girls keep their powers to themselves it's their little secret! But it gets found out so they go to Magic School on scholarship basically due to the rarity of their elements.

Dark however decides that she wants to test something and Light has never been able to say no to her so she goes along with it. Dark's test? "Light, I want you to bully me in front of others to see if there is really a belief that dark magic is bad."

So the light user is the bully and hates every second of it because other students DO back her up and she's so stressed because Dark is her best friend forever how DARE these nobles act so above her! :C :C :C

But then they meet up in private and just hang out like in the village. Just exchanging school gossip instead of village gossip. The theory still needs to be tested to see how long it takes for people to possibly get over their bias but Light can't do it when she hears people bullying Dark without her around and ends up lecturing them for being so narrow minded (despite starting the drama).

Unfortunately for everyone involved, Brent doesn't understand the concept of being bought a joke, like, why would someone SPEND MONEY on a joke? Since Karen's his friend and bought him a shirt, he's like. Legally obligated to wear it at least once... ? Probably?

Art I did during my break but don't wanna post on main but you know what. I like Levi and Richard (and Arienne the redhead).

Basically, Levi and Richard go to school together, Richard decides to go by the name Richard and the only person to without question go along with "I'm a boy now" is Levi who calls him Dick. And then gets into fist fights with boys that don't call him Richard. So Richard falls pretty much in love in school then his parents divorce and he moves away.

Many years later (10+) Richard meets Levi again and it's very much nothing grand. Levi overhears Richard introducing himself to someone and is like "lmao Dick? You work here now? Sucks to be you" and Richard is immediately 'I love him so much I hate myself for how easily I give up all dignity for him' but yeah. They work in different departments so Levi does more behind the scenes stuff while Richard talks to clients and is very social.

And their coworkers in both departments love Richard because he's such a nice guy and Levi's department hates Levi a lot cause he's an asshole. (then stuff happens that would require a tw blah blah blah) So after a month of Levi not being at work he returns and Richard immediately goes over to the department to check on him and he's just. Incredibly mellow. No cussing and no cockiness and worst of all, he's being called Richard which is very much not correct from Levi. So he points it out that no one else calls him Dick and if he had a problem with it he would have said something by now so hey, maybe don't suddenly change the entire friendship on your own. (So Levi texts him later to say "sorry for being a dick, Dick" and Richard is v happy and content with that turn out)

I never draw Adlyn and he's really cute ??? So here's an Adlyn feeling absolutely betrayed when Pops says "easy enough thanks to your Family Messenger Dragon swooping in" to Vikrahm. How dare Vik have a family messenger dragon and NOT TELL HIS BESTIE.
