I liked The Bride! a lot because it was weird and strange and all over the place. i think it had a clear message too for the unfortunate upcoming generation that has the reading comprehension of grapes. I see a lot of criticism that it wasnt accurate to Frankenstein, and. I feel like accuracy to Frankenstein wasn't exactly the goal? I also think Mary Shelley's ghost was a fun detail. It was only really confusing if you didn't know WHY she was there, I think.. Mary Shelley was less.. Mary Shelley, and more a representation of female rage, which tends to show itself in "weird" ways. The dance scene was also alright in my opinion, because it serves to show that Frank isn't just an unconventionally attractive shy submissive man, but he has depth. I didn't really like the detective and her boy toy, though. I felt like they were too underdeveloped to really root for them. Which sucks so bad!! Their dynamic was actually interesting and could've been played so so so well! This could be said about Frank and The Bride, but at the same time, it shows how she was hesitant at first, and connected with him quickly through trauma (pretty fire)
