It's an interesting difference to think about !!

In canon, I think Derek was nice to Avery because he knew there was no point in trying to convince him to leave. He knew the future and knew that this guy was always going to wander into the cave and find him. Canon Derek has an obvious soft spot for Avery, but even aside from that, I think treating the last human he'd ever talk to with kindness came easily to him.

I had written my fic just based off the first video, so their first meet was something I had to really think about. I thought it'd make sense for him to be standoffish and cold.. someone who had very intentionally isolated himself because of all the regret he felt. So when he meets Avery, he's pissed that someone not only found him but was so genuinely curious about his mistake. He wanted to be forgotten by the world but, despite all his effort, the world found him. #lovewins

THE KIY BEING A FUJOSHI IS GENUINELY CRACKING ME UP like fuck it. Sure. Why not. it makes up for all the alternate universes of Derek always arriving at the gates.

I never experienced such emotions on a fanfic I SWEAR, I remember reading it and having to take breaks just to send my friend voice mails at 1 am where I'm going crazy because Dave and Jack hugged

The way you create sentences, flow the story, it all is just so pleasing and unbelivable, I was activly loosing it while reading

Also, this is first fanfic that is long and I actually readed whole. Usually I stick to one shots cuz I suck at reading, but this one really hooked me up

I have no idea what you do now, if you still write or in what you are intrested now, but I'll just say that I am greatful for this fanfic, as I even started to post dsaf content cuz I just needed to let it out
