So, funny story - I actually have brain cancer. They found the first tumor on Feb 5th, I had surgery March 11 - when they found the second tumor - and both are cancerous and they’ve left a bunch of gross shit behind in my brain.
Neat.
Been a WILD ride since the first week of February. I actually found the tumor after a MRI following An Incident at the Flyers Charity Carnival of all places.
I’ll start chemo and radiation in a few weeks. We know I’ll be in treatment at least until mid-Feb if not longer.

It is and it isn’t, sadly. The thing with cancer is that it completely consumes my life and I also still have to exist as a human and go to Phillies games and play with my niblings and help my husband with dinner and hang out on here, etc.
So I’m in the “healing from surgery, waiting for radiation” portion of my cancer story. I’m exhausted all of the time, and I’m told I’ll only get more tired (goody). Chemo kicks off end of August/beginning of Sept, depending on my team’s decision. I basically have the Avengers working to clean my brain - neurosurgery, hematology, radiology, oncology.
I’m trying to work on Addieverse as this all happens, but it’s admittedly slow going. Fingers crossed it won’t be soon, though!
