The curse of the economy student on Tumblr is to have to read people say "capitalism is bad, socialist countries are so much better" And the "socialist countries" in question are always the fucking Nordics. You know, the Nordics. Some of the most free-market economies in the world. Then you ask "why the fuck do you think fucking Sweden is Socialist?" and they say it is because they have public healthcare... As if not everyone else in the world except the US has that.
Socialism is a mental illness and the solution is a pill made out of lead at an high velocity.
Lets not forget that those countries have a fucking 10% consumption tax. The US has 5%. Meanwhile Denmark has a 25% individual tax (the US has 10%) This shit sounds boring, but it certainly seems more interesting when you realize that's where YOU will be paying for the welfare.
