Sam Winchester Zine (title forthcoming) will be anthology fanzine featuring fanfic and fanart all focused on Sam Winchester!

All fans of Sam ( Sammies/Sam-coded etc ) are welcome to apply,this is an inclusive zine.

This zine will be gen only with no ships except Sam’s canon love interests . All content will be focused on Sam and his story, his life and thoughts and feelings and relationships with others .

The zine content will span the entire timeline of the show including pre and post canon.

Applications open on Sam’s birthday May 2nd 2023 and will close May 31st 2023. The zine will be published on Sept .13th 2023 . The anniversary of the date Sam’s story began.

If I ran a only Sam Winchester focused zine this year would anyone being interested in participating?

All content would gen except for canon romantic relationships and would focus on Sam’s character arc and his relationships with other characters .

The zine contents would span his whole life including pre and post canon . Fic and art would both be included . All Sam fans would be welcome .

Creation period would began May 2nd(Sam’s Birthday) and end Sept.1st and the zine would be released Sept. 13th( the day he was introduced on screen )

Please take this interest check poll . This is a VERY tentative interest check . I’d like to confirm there is a substantial ( at least 20 +) amount of people interested for me to be sure it will be worth going forward with planning . Some of these info/guideline/ are subject to change!

Sign-ups are now open for the 2022 Sam Winchester Big Bang!

We would love to have you join us to produce any kind of Sam-centric fic (we welcome any ships as well as fics with no ships at all; all we ask is that Sam be the central character).

We offer two lengths: a mini-bang (5k minimum) or big bang (15k minimum). You don’t have to commit to which one you’re doing until rough draft submission in July. Artists are expected to produce one piece for a mini bang or two pieces for a big.

Author rough drafts are due on 11 July, artist claims will happen on 16 July, and posting will start on 5 September. You can find a full timeline here and the bang rules here. We also have a dedicated Discord server for the bang and will be inviting all participants to join us there should they so wish. Any questions? Please feel free to ask them!

We’ve been a little distracted, but Oh Sam is back and looking for excellent Sam-centric material to showcase the glories, the injuries, the comforts, the brilliance, the complications of Sam Winchester. Our community is focused upon hurt/comfort, but such things come in all degrees and intensities, from gentle to extreme. Some are more hurt, some are more comfort. We love it, regardless. All of fandom is welcomed! Our submission box is open, as is our ‘ask’ box, so feel free to poke us with Sam-centric wonders and suggestions. We will be tracking “sam winchester”, “sam winchester art”, “sam winchester fic”, “sam winchester edits” and “hey ohsam”. Pretty much any tag even daring to look sideways at Sam Winchester. About Us: The SPN Gencest Bang is a microbang for Gencest in the Supernatural fandom. Gencest is a term to describe the powerful and atypical love & devotion that Sam and Dean Winchester have for each other. Authors will write a fic about Sam and Dean’s deep & indefinable platonic bond with a minimum word count of 3,000. Twenty-four years later, Dean gets a call from a hunter named Gordon Walker, who has captured a creature who calls himself the Boy King of hell.

And my own series:

you’re a child and you love your brother more than anything, love the way he’s larger than life itself, the way he laughs with his whole body and doesn’t seem to care who’s watching. love the way he grips you under your arms and swings you round his body to cheer you up, centrifugal force rushing your blood to your toes and the tips of your fingers. love the way he makes you pb&j’s with the crusts cut off, but only when you’re feeling lousy. and you don’t even really mind the crusts in the first place, but he says they’re better that way, so they must be.

you’re a child and your brother reads to you from this book about righteous men on mythical quests and you think, yeah, you’d like to go on your very own journey one day, slay your own beasts, find your own holy grail, but when you picture it in your head it’s your brother’s face wielding the weapon and you’re nowhere to be seen. that’s fine, you think, you’re not built for that, anyway. there’s something strange inside you. but you know your brother could pull off that role perfectly if given the chance, and you think you’d be glad just to watch him try.

you’re a child and there’s something wrong with you, you just know it. you can feel it, sometimes, in the back of your throat and the palms of your hands. you feel it pressing up against your lungs when a kid calls you a freak during recess and you punch him square in the face. you don’t even remember doing that, but there’s blood on your knuckles and a bone deep satisfaction in your belly, so you think you must have. your dad’s gruff when he picks you up from the principal’s office, like he always is, and your brother’s trailing behind him with this look on his face like he’s not sure whether to be worried or proud. you’re a child and you’re loading your duffle into the trunk for the second time this month, and you can sense something simmering underneath your skin all the way into the next state.

you’re a child but you’re starting to think maybe that’s not all you are. your dad looks at you, sometimes, and you can’t really tell by the expression on his face what exactly it is he’s thinking, but you can tell it’s nothing good. your brother’s been different these past few years, more distant and less interested in you and other childish things, and when you ask your dad about it he says it’s normal for a boy his age. says you have to forge your own path, you two can’t be attached at the hip forever. soon you won’t be a kid anymore and you can’t rely on your brother to do everything for you, boy. but you miss him and you think he might’ve been the only thing keeping what’s inside you at bay. you’re not sure how much longer you can feel like this before something terrible happens. what that is, you don’t know.
