Holy shit, this episode is dark: starting with a vision of a murder-suicide

Wow I had forgotten that Sam and Dean used to go to the Roadhouse with every little problem, they’re literally there all the tiem. 

“Hey Ash, we need your help” / “Well, then I guess I need pants”

I had also forgotten about the budding romance between Jo and Dean

“You’re afraid of my mother?” / Dean nods, “I think so” Damn right, Ellen Harvelle is appropriately scary

“Hey, can I have it?” (referring to the Impala) / “Sure man” Dean gets out of the car, and gives it to him, thus an immediate realization that something is super super wrong

“He full on Obi-waned me! It’s mind control man!”

I love how most of these psychics know how to use their powers so much more than Sam does

Is this the episode that is, “Too soon?” / “yeah, Dean, three seconds is too soon.”

“You know, one day I’d like to just sit down and eat something that I don’t need to microwave.” Aww I can’t wait for the bunker where Dean’ll actually be able to do that. 

The evil guy in this episode looks vaguely like Elijah Wood, to the point where I thought for a while about whether or not he was actually Elijah Wood.

A girl dies from a car crash after her ex boyfriend wouldn’t leave her alone.

Sam and Dean travel to visit Mary’s grave in Illinois, which is odd because they lived in Lawrence, Kansas. She must have had family there. 

Sam is being a therapist for Dean, with little results. He’s trying to convince him that Dean needs to deal with his trauma over their mother’s death which happens exactly zero times in the entire show.

Dean is horrendous at comforting people. 

This is really a Dean therapy episode, you gotta love it

“Neil! It’s your grief counselors! We’ve come to--hug.” -Dean Winchester, at his finest

Zombie on a murderous rampage after her boyfriend was the indirect cause of her death, leading to her killing the boyfriend, and her college roommate who slept with her boyfriend whilst getting together with her best friend. -that’s it, that’s the episode

“Damn that dead chick can run”

“But Dad’s dead because of me.” Yes and it doesn’t matter, you literally do the same thing for nearly every person you’ve ever met. “I was dead, and I should have stayed dead.” -ooooohh that’s why Dean said, “Dead things should stay dead” earlier in the episode. 

Starting an episode with Back in Black? I think it's gonna be a good episode.

I hate clowns just as much as Sam Winchester, so I gotta say, I didn't love this episode.

I'm not sure what kind of creature this is

This entire episode is pretty creepy. I hate fun houses and clowns.

That was really smooth, Sam. I don't love this love story developing between Dean and Jo. I know how it turns out but still

Ash went to MIT and was expelled for fighting?

This truck driving demon playing Bad Moon Rising after hitting the Impala is hilarious for no reason whatsoever

This is a good episode, I forgot about it

Baby is an allegory for Dean in this episode, “If there’s one working part, that’s enough. We’re not just gonna give up on it.”

I think this is a weird looking reaper? Maybe? Or maybe it’s some sort of primarily hospital dwelling spirit?

Sam is using the top of the car as a desk and that’s hilarious to me

Why do they keep using each others names? It’s like every other sentence, there's no one else in the conversation

“I’ve got a corgi upstairs and he pees when he’s nervous!” 

Dena wanted to be a fireman, that’s adorable 

Are demons deterred by salt?

Cause I thought that was just ghosts

Also I was always under the impression that kind of like Batman, they were really cautious about humans under demonic possession, but I guess that hasn’t started yet

“I’m proud of you.” That’s literally all Dean has ever wanted to hear from John

And yet, this is absolutely heartbreaking. “He wouldn’t be proud of me, he’d tear me a new one.” 

“Make the gun float to you, psychic boy.”

Is this the first time they said the words, “meat suit”?

Have they not found the demon blade yet? 

Jump scare at the end of this episode, holy crap. 

Meg’s back!! I love her hair. 

I support women’s wrongs, including Meg Masters and the fact that she just stabbed a priest

Oh that’s not disturbing at all

The parallelism of all these women wearing long white nightdresses when they’re burned on the ceiling is not lost on me

I don’t see the Yellow Eyed Demon in this episode, even though his events are obviously happening

I had forgotten that a big thing is that all the children are 6 months old and they all have psychic abilities 

Wait is this the Roadhouse?? I don’t think we’re there yet, but it would be great if we were. 

Personally, as a hunter, I don’t think I would live in a cabin alone in the woods. But that’s just me

“Wait so you came all the way out here for this Elkins guy?” The quiet part here is, ‘and yet you abandoned us?’

“Vampires? I thought there was no such thing?” I forgot about that part of the spn lore. 

The vibe of the show is off with John, he’s picking on them and he just insulted Baby. 

This episode is very early 2000s. Case in point: Luther

Sam this is not a laughing matter. Your father spent your college fund on ammo and you’re laughing 

I remember parts of this episode vividly. But I have no idea what happens in it?

Gotta say, Dean’s right on this one: “Because I’m the oldest which mean’s I’m always right.”

I feel like if I were them, I would contact the actual CDC cause this involves children who are sick??

This is the creature that got Sam, isn’t it

This first season is so well written- not too horror-y, plenty of twists

This guy is totally draining the life of the kids.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, the dynamic of their characters shifts throughout the seasons: Sam’s absolute refusal to put any kids or people in danger shifts onto Dean after hell and Ben, and so does his reluctance to hunt and such. Dean’s guilt NEVER goes away though.

Wait- the Ghost Facers! I had no idea they were this early. If you want a funny episode, I’ll always recommend a ghost facers episode. 

“Just a couple humans.”

Dean is always so suspicious of ghost hunters, and mediums and psychic stuff, it’s so funny

Wait- I missed the puns in their names last time through: Ed Zedmore and Harry Spengler.

Really good episode

I love that they’re using the ghost facers as bait for the cops

This is fun because I have the memory of a goldfish and I’m always surprised by the plot twists despite having seen this show

Great side characters, Dean being a goofball, brotherly prank war, the first appearance of the ghost facers, Sam and Dean messing with ghost hunters, honestly what more could you ask for?

WAIT- Jeffery Dean Morgan is in this episode.

“I’m just saying, these outfits cost hard earned money.” “Who’s?” “Our’s- you think credit card fraud is easy?”

Heart was missing- werewolf??

On the same wavelength as Dean, but Sam disproved the theory it

That’s one crafty creature with the blood splatter art (it would be perfect in a hospital)

“Let me guess, you’re lurking outside that poor girl’s apartment.”

Sam this is so creepy

Obviously Meg summoned the super old demonic deity right?

This episode is good, but I kinda just enjoy every episode with reoccurring characters 

That’s unfair to Sam, Dean. Dean’s lonely but it’s so unfair

When it comes down to it, that’s all he’s ever wanted, to have a family who are close, and who don’t leave him. AND HE DIDN’T FUCKING GET THAT. IT MAKES ME SO PISSED (sorry that was a rant and isn’t even that pertinent to this episode.)

That’s so sad. Dean doesn’t think that John would save them if he knew they were in trouble.

And there’s the asshole himself, in the flesh

If you didn’t want them hurt, maybe you shouldn’t have raised them to hunt?

Car deaths? Is the car being used as a method of kidnapping?

Dean’s going by Greg  as Sam’s cousin. 

The police officer looked Sam up and revealed that Dean was dead and wanted for murder

One of my favorite tropes is when they meet regular people that they don’t know, they look so strange. it’s a great gag
