So I've been on a Glee rewatch for like, three months now {which yes is why I can confidently state my cat is an annoying Darren Criss fanboy and despises Will Shuester} and I've made it through the double gay wedding in season 6 but something has been genuinely bugging me.
WHEN DOES BLAINE GO TO WORK?
He's supposed to be coaching the Warblers but he's CONSTANTLY just fucking around McKinley.
Lima and Westerville are real places and they're an hour and a half away from each other assuming minimal traffic and reasonable driving speed.
Yes, I'll concede he likely lives in in Lima and maybe his plots with the adult characters are maybe happening at like 8 pm after his work day but that doesn't explain why he's just around to do stuff with the New Directions whenever unless Glee club meetings are also randomly late at night which I don't buy and Warbler's meetings are like, a sanctioned class period at Dalton which I do buy.
The man has responsibilities and a job he is presumably getting paid for unlike Kurt and Rachel he shouldn't be around as much as he is.
I know there's a Doylist reading of this all, I know that season 6 runs off fanservice and its only tenet was "Fuck it we ball" but Blaine's constant presence is genuinely egregious in a way that the random other former student cameos weren't in seasons 4 and 5 because of the new positions the cast is filling.
