Summary: Young Justice/Pacific Rim AU. Artemis and Jade are still kids when the first Kaiju attack kills their mother. They become the youngest Jaeger pilots in the history of the program, kicking all kinds of ass until Jade dies. Artemis then transfers to an independent Jaeger program on the request of Bruce Wayne who is, covertly, trying to starting a new team with a brand new squad of pilots. Artemis tries to get along with the newbies. But she just doesn’t know how she’s supposed to get along with these kids when she’s spent her entire life trying to be an adult.

The first Kaiju attacks when Artemis is nine and Jade is thirteen.

They are living in Trieu Phong, Vietnam, a small seaside town, with their wheelchair bound mother, and the wave is very big.

I’ve been staring at this thing for far too long. I’m likely not gonna make it any better and I cannot research one more sex position’s anatomical probability without falling down a deep pit of “I don’t know enough about sex and never will so I shall never ever attempt smut ever again”, particularly because I cannot even tell whether what I’m writing is remotely hot or mildly uncomfortable to read. It’s probably my longtime love of Nora Roberts that’s ruining my objectivity but whatever, I hope you enjoy and I really liked getting into these characters’ heads.

I mean I think he does it a lot after really shitty days, especially where school is involved. It’s his way of winding down and making himself feel better and having some private time. So yeah.
