Why should I interview my guides?

Interviewing a guide would definitely set the expectations in the relationship between you two. This might reveal things about them, from motives for helping you out, to what they were like when they were living (when applicable), or what they feel their purpose is! You’ll also know what kind of energy they carry-- the sooner you find out you don’t like the energy your guide carries by causing fear and discomfort, the sooner you can dismiss them from your life. 

Methods of Communication

Automatic Writing

This is the best way, in my opinion, to get a definite answer about everything you would like to know about-- Reason being that you don’t need to be good psychic to do it. In Automatic Writing, you lend your ability to write to your guides, and just write. Its important that you are not in an alert and mindful state when you channel your guides. Keep your grip loose, and write whatever words or phrases comes to mind. Clairvoyance comes into use here, too, because if you ask them what they look like to add a face to a name, They may show you instead of describing it out. Make sure you’re nice and relaxed when you do this-- you want as least influence on what you write as possible. Don’t worry about spelling, or what is being said until your pen seems to stop, with no will to write more. This works for computers as well, so feel free to open up an empty typing space, and get to typing!

Meditation

Simply closing your eyes and breathing, clearing your mind of clutter, then asking a question is another way you can communicate if you have the clairvoyance or clairaudience in you. Be patient with how you receive answers in this way-- it may take a while for a calmed, slower mind (mind you, more receptive in that state) to be able to make out what’s being said. Spirit may respond with an image that comes to mind, a memory akin to the answer being given, or flat out speak to you via thoughts that pop up. You can liken this to prayer, but prayer implies it’s a one-way street (to me, anyway). In meditation, set the intention that you WILL hear from your guide. That way you are not dismissive of any thoughts that arrive. 

Mindfulness Sometimes meditation is great, but sometimes you don’t have the time to do the full on interview. If this is the case, ask your guides to make themselves known in the world around you by example! That way you can go about your busy life, and look for signs to your questions. If you ask them a color they want to be associated with and you notice a profuse amount of blue objects that day, chances are, they like blue. If you ask them their purpose of helping you, and you feel like you’re being watched over by someone when you are alone and on the job, they’re probably trying to help you with your work life.  That kind of thing. Just be patient with how fast (or slow) they give you answers. You’ll know them when you see them-- just be mindful if it.

Pendulums

Pendulums and Ouija Boards are stigmatized to bring in spirits that have every intention to do bad things, but that isn’t true! Those people who brought in bad spirits did not protect themselves with white light, and did not invite their guides specifically or had them in mind, not to mention that most stigma stems from the paranormal horror genre. As long as you know you’re protected by your guides,  angels, yourself-- as long as its something you believe in-- it should be fine. I have not had any problems with pendulums, but with a Ouija Board, me and a roommate kind of accidentally got the attention of a spirit that didn’t want to be bothered (clearly), because we were naïve. This was before I knew I was psychic, but the air became oppressively heavy. Oops. This also doesn’t require any psychic ability, so if you’re first starting out, this is a good option. If you do use a pendulum. make sure you are asking Yes or No questions, unless if you have a chart.

Tarot Cards

Tarot Cards are great for communicating with your guides. There are plenty of spreads online and some on this blog you should try out! If they don’t cover all the questions you want, you can make your own spread! Spirit will be there to answer your questions, all the same. However, this may lead to the answers to be a bit more vague. If you are stuck on a meaning, that is fine! But you can prevent getting stuck by using your intuition to read cards-- What do you feel like it means? What is coming to mind when you look at the card? What feeling does it give you?

Questions You Can Ask

There are no limits on what questions you may ask, depending on the medium you are asking in. Always be kind to your guides, and don’t be afraid to be friendly with them, if you so choose.

Here are some question ideas:

What is your name?

What do you look like?

What are you trying to help me with?

Have you been human before?

Are you here with only good intent for my highest good?

How long have you been around?

How long are you going to stay?

What kind of relationship dynamic do you desire?

How can I connect with you the best?

If you were human, can you tell me what your past life or lives have been like?

How will you get my attention?

Any other questions you can think of!

All of these questions and methods can be as intimate as you want them to be, and use whatever you’re most comfortable with! And this isn’t limited to interviews-- you can use these to communicate whenever you’d like!

Summary: You’re not in agreement in where this is where you should be in life. Spirit is saying that things are all planned out this way, and a time will come when you will feel differently! Embrace the successes you’ve had so far-- not matter how small-- your emotions will get in the way of that, but let go and look at each moment objectively before judging yourself.  Spirit is fighting alongside you, and will help you expand your boundaries so that you may see everything in a brighter light. Life may seem more complex now, but it is actually simpler than you make it out to be, so don’t let that deceive you.

AMAZONITE:

Summary: You are overall unhappy with what is happening to you, and what life has handed you.  However Spirit notices you seeking a better truth, and looking deeper into why everything happened the way it did.  Your biggest problem is not accepting things as they are, and moving on. You’re stuck.  You’re hung up on getting rid of this bad feeling, instead of accepting that as your feelings. Relinquish the need to control every little thing that makes you upset.  Spirit is there to help with that, embracing the times that are not so great as part of life. Injustices will be dealt with by your guide, so there is no need to worry about something out of your power.  Changes happen around you, but you might be resistant to changing old habits and things that no longer serve you. When it comes time, what will you do?

Things will be what they will be. Relax! Spirit will guide you along as you face difficult choices and the bond between you and spirit will grow along the way. Life is not a group effort. Make sure you are paying attention to yourself and your own work too-- and maybe even get to show it off to the world when you’re done.

Summary:  Your Life path in your eyes is an intuitive and spiritual journey, where you learned a lot and still learning.  However, Spirit is thinking that your emotions are running too intensely to do that! Embrace the world around you and try things you wouldn’t normally do. Expand your horizons, and let go of becoming to absorbed in inner thinking and development (which you might have done a lot recently) , and connect with others and realize things happening around you. You need a break! Spirit will help you experience the world around you, while still feeling fulfilled with the answers you are seeking. Remember to not let your emotions distort things-- how you feel is different from your purpose!

Summary: Do you feel your life is spiraling out of control? Like you don’t know what will happen next and have no way of controlling it? Spirit seems to think you have more innovation and control than you think! Embrace working on yourself and improving to see that--and not worry about the happily ever after that you’re thinking of as a goal. Its not about outcome here, its about what you’ve learned. Spirit will help motivate and peacefully charm you into the right direction (with your consent!) and work with you to meet your goals full force.  After all, you’re likely holding yourself back, somehow. This change or changes made with this may not always be welcome-- but if you work with Spirit on accepting it, all is well.

ROSE QUARTZ:

Summary: If feels like the Universe is against you or doesn’t care , but alas, It seems that your manifestation game is weaker than it should be. You’re not doing actions to get what you want, an expecting things to fall into place. You should count on the inability not create the future you want at times, but cetainly don’t believe that the Universe will hand you everything you’ve ever wanted, just out of fairness for the rest of the population-- things must remain balanced. Spirit was  there in any turbulent times you had and be your foundation when your world is (seemingly) crumbling. Once that is over, it’ll also help count your blessings for what you DO have, and you’ll find all is not lost! If that means anything to you. Remember:  Every little  good thing won’t fall into place for you unless if you do some work to manifest it that way! Put some work into it :)

AMETHYST:

Summary:  Do you feel careless with your life, and you didn’t pay attention to the little things and its coming back to bite you? Spirit is noticing that this is from taking on too many things at once-- leading to overworking and stress. Count your blessings that you do have and things that are valuable to you, so that you can shed some of those burdens, whether that be pinning some of the responsibility on some slackers, or taking a day to yourself. Don’t let your fear of the unknown deter you-- take that chance of letting go of some things for a bit before continuing on with your journey. Spirit will help you as you mature as a spirit having a human experience, and help you grow. As you come across any injustices or unfairness, things will seem to work out-- just focus on continuing on your life path imaginatively and creatively! You’ll get there :)

DUMORTIERITE

Summary: Life is less about yourself than you think. you are pretty self-absorbed, and aware of yourself, but Spirit is noticing you might be too absorbed in yourself, and rather selfish. Tending to others needs would be a good move so your true colors may shine, and relinquishing a little bit of excess self-love would go a long way. Spirit will help you help yourself- looking at ways you can improve yourself, and work with you to plan your best life. You are in charge where this goes! Just make sure its for the benefit of the many, not the self alone.

SMOKEY QUARTZ

Summary: You have your life sorted out! You know where to go, or you’re heading in the right direction... and spirit is seeing this and overjoyed. You should retain that sense of self, and knowing yourself, while still letting go of anything that may seem unfair to you or make you want to change the way you operate.  Spirit will protect you and not let you jump into things without thinking first, as to not ruin the balance you have going for you. Keep going on your own path doing what you always do, and don’t let others change your perspectives

MALACHITE (?)

Calming and Grounding

Amazonite is great for keeping calm in tough situations. Amazonite helps me let go of things that don’t serve me, like worry, doubt, and negativity. It balances my emotions to “neutral” , so that going forward, I can pave my own path without needing to worry on the past. It brings me into the now. Not the past, or future. It makes me realize what is working for me in the present moment. 

Entering a meditative state

Because of these calming energies, it also helps in shifting your way of thinking into a meditative state. It helps put the the rustle and bustle of life on the back burner, and help refresh and renew you through relaxation before getting back to it.

Acceptance

Amazonite, I find, also helps you with accepting certain bad situations that you cannot change. Like The Tower Arcana in tarot, it often helps you buckle down and truck through the inescapable fate, without getting too stressed about not being able to do anything about it.

As long as  you have stress and worry in your life, Amazonite is a good stone to have to keep you cool and collected. One of my guides is particularly fond of Amazonite because of its intended purpose, and I use Amazonite to connect to him and represent him in Spiritual meditation. 

Amazonite isn’t very versatile for me, but it does what it needs to do! And remember to take your medication if you have an anxiety disorder. Amazonite can help, but medication can definitely make a huge difference!

Lie #1: They don’t want to work with me. I’ll bother them.

This is detrimental to your connection with spirit. If you don’t think that they want to help you, that puts a psychic barrier between you and them, and whatever they say or do will fall upon deaf ears! Spirit wants to work with you for a variety of reasons: to better themselves, to better you (depending on who Spirit is) and/or any reason they feel they want to help you for.  To get past this lie in your head, open your mind, little by little, to the mindset that anything is possible.  Is there anything that you dismissed because you didn’t think it to be possible, i.e. a guiding thought/ affirmation from a guide you thought didn’t want anything to do with you?

Lie #2: They don’t want to hear from me about such minute issues and thoughts.  What I have to say is not important enough.

Does the problem matter to you, for you to consider asking your guides for help? If so, guides will likely lend an ear to what you have to say! They kind of work like that-- they really aren’t dismissive from what I hear. You can tell them pretty much anything, free of judgement. They’ll support you in whatever endeavors you make, as long as it lines up or doesn’t affect your purpose in life. If it actively gets in the way of your soul’s plan, they’ll refuse, but still be there for you. 

As for random thoughts, they’ll listen and comment on those too, depending on how comfortable you are doing that. If you’re looking for a relationship of respect and honor, then they can respect that boundary. If you are looking for a more intimate and personable relationship, you certainly can talk to them like that. Oliver and I are friends, in the least, as well as him being  one of my guides. He is always so eager to accompany me in my endeavors. It depends on what you’re looking for! NOTE: They are not much different than people in that regard. They may take time to warm up to you, they may not!

Lie #3: They didn’t hear me when I reached out, or ignored me.

Chances are that they heard and listened to you. They seldom don’t show up, so at that point you either aren’t receptive to their advice (see Lie #1) or that they listened to what you said, and saw it wasn’t in your best interest to bring about anything or do anything. And getting an answer you don’t like isn’t always your own negativity! They have every right to say no to something you asked. 

Spirit Guides aren’t there to grant wishes. They’re here to help you along with your life, but guiding with things greater than material and smaller things that sometimes get in the way of your lessons. In my experience, they are capable of changing things around a teeny bit, but only if it doesn’t really have an impact on any lessons you’re learning. 

Also know that Spirit is waaay more likely to help you with inner needs. This can range from cheering up after a bad day,  accepting things as they are, or getting the courage to change things because things aren’t acceptable to you. 

Lie #4: I don’t have the ability to talk to them/hear them.

I have good news for you! Everyone has this ability-- but some people’s abilities are more honed and practiced than others, especially with people who have not touched the subject. The only difference here is that practiced ones know what they’re looking for, and even then, they are always trying to expand their ability. If you’re starting out, don’t set that barrier up by saying you can’t do it! You certainly can-- it will take a LOT of practice. But don’t lose heart-- and Spirit will surely meet you halfway. Read my posts about the ability of having a guide and types of guides! 

Of course, these are the common ones. Rule of thumb is, if its a self- barrier between you and spirit, its up to you how thin that barrier is! Being open and social is preferred with my guides, but again, every person (and guide!) is different! Guides are beings of light, so don’t be afraid of asking them things, in any case!

Do something YOU enjoy.

From my experiences, guides are usually enjoying the things you enjoy with you, even though they can’t participate. Its more like your feelings are contagious  to them. So if you’re smiling, its not uncommon for your guide(s) to be smiling alongside you, because they love that you’re enjoying your life, while keeping you on track for your purpose in life.  As long as it doesn’t hurt other people or yourself, they’ll be happy that you are.  Also, do the thing you enjoy because YOU want to! I have had this problem: I focused on so much what my guides would want, but I neglected my duties of making myself happy! Now, if actively recognizing them does the trick for your own happiness, that’s fine, but make sure you make yourself happy too. I find that solo activities helps me connect to my guides differently, in that I know my guides will enjoy it too. This can include:

being out in nature

taking a leisurely (or not-so-leisurely!) walk

being creative with the arts

journaling

reading your favorite genre 

watching a movie

listening to music of your choice

and whatever you enjoy!

Your guides don’t mind if you take some time where you’re not meditating, consulting them, and recognizing their presence actively. You connect with them just as easily doing things you enjoy, so spending time with your guides isn’t as difficult as it seems :) 

Symbolism: Not everything is a symbol.

In true spiritual fashion, unless specified, Spirit often leaves symbolic trails for you to follow-- in dreams, or in your waking life. You might notice a lot of the same number show up, or a lot of a certain color. Looking out for these kinds of signs are tricky in my experience, as its hard to differentiate coincidence from symbolic. if that’s the case, whatever resonates as a symbol usually is. Don’t let your logical mind lie to you, and REALLY trust your intuition-- making sure there isn’t anything influencing your perception from logic. Spirit wants you to be able to understand the messages they put out there.

Also note: Signs from deceased loved ones happen too! Often, these are their favorite color, or a flower they absolutely loved, a ball from their favorite sport, etc.... they all carry meaning to the loved one, to express that they are present with you, or that they love you. So if you notice a lot of your loved one’s favorite things out in the world, you’re not alone :) 

Ask for a sign! Trust me, they won’t mind.

Spirit wants you to understand when they reach out to you, as i’ve mentioned, so setting up a specific sign that’s easy to spot would be wise. You won’t be bothering them by setting the course like that-- most times it makes things easier to mean something to you. Its a sure-fire way to recognize Spirit’s work. However, don’t ask for an elephant riding a tricycle, or something complex and very hard to do. Try something mundane and everyday, but unique enough to stand out-- like acorns, or dimes.

Example of asking for a sign: My experience  One day I asked my guide to send me a lone feather of any color (preferably white), to show he was there and was willing to interact with me,  several months ago, at any time he wanted. Days after that day, I would see small down feathers float in the air on front of my eyes, at work. As a cashier, I’m sure it came from people’s coats who had down in them-- it was winter, after all. It was still the sign I asked for, nonetheless, and I was getting quite stressed from work. But even today, several months later in late July, I found this on the floor in my apartment. I was feeling extremely lonely and alone, with no one to talk to or in my corner. I felt like I wasn’t allowed to be liked or interacted with.

Note, that I do not own anything with feathers. 

Those are only the physical instances. There’s a lot of times I dreamed of white feathers, or the thought popped up of white feathers out of nowhere. 

This goes to show that Spirit will find a way to make it work, outside or inside your imagination. This experience inspired this post.

WHAT THE SYMBOL IS, IS UP TO YOU. 

So if you want to have that elephant on a tricycle anyway? Go for it! It might be hard for Spirit to do, but I do believe something will come out of it.

Rose Quartz: Everyone Deserves a Little Love

I always associate rose quartz as helping with every kind of love possible, whether it be Storge, Philia, or Philautia-- you name it. I do believe there is a little bit of that residual energy within these stones that offer all of these kinds of loves-- whatever you need. Whatever kind of love you need to feel, you’ll feel it trickle from these stones, from my experience.   Rose Quartz is also about manifesting a future where love is on the table, such as finding the courage to ask out your crush, or planning a dinner date that you want to go well.  It helps with those, too! So if you are single and you are still waiting for the one you’d fall for, having a Rose Quartz Crystal on you wouldn’t be a bad idea. Its amazing how the universe works. 

Calming: because self-love is a thing too.

Angelite: The Stone of Angelic Communication

Its typical name is Blue Anhydrite, but because of its said-to-be connections to the divine, it was nicknamed Angelite. Honestly, i was a little dubious of its legitimacy because of this name, but I have no regrets. It heightens your vibration so that angels and other divine beings can reach you better without the clutter of stress and busyness in your mind. I find when I communicate with my or other’s angels, I understand their intent better when i have Angelite nearby. Normally i can get the messages, but I either lack the certainty to know where they’re coming from, or even the message gets muddled. This helps me think and receive messages clearly, I find! And while I only seem to get angels, i don’t believe that this clarity is just for Angels- loved ones and guides on the other side can benefit from this stone too.

Other uses than Psychic communication

The Beaten Path has Hidden Forks

This goes for religion, but this also goes with literally anyone else’s belief system. You agree with everything in Christianity but believe Jesus was a cow instead of human? Then you probably shouldn’t call yourself a christian, especially around Christians that follow their religion closely. Instead, worship cow-Jesus, if it feels right for you. (No offense to Christian people! I just was using an unlikely scenario using a religion that most have heard of.) Your best friend believes in Mother Earth and that Earth as a planet is sentient, but you think that Earth is more of a Fatherly figure? Then don’t follow that aspect, and see where it goes! This would likely result in you finding your own way, but it could be just that tiny modification. It’s up to you!

And there is NO shame in following a religion closely! Do what you think is best for your own growth.

You are not wrong!

No one EVER has the 100% right answer, because everyone has different experiences based off of their upbringing. However, you can have 100% faith in /your/ answer, because its suited toward you. I got a message about my guide about this. I follow a lot of spiritual blogs, but they’re either following a specific religion, or all-out wiccan-- no in between, or others like mine. I started feeling very insecure about my belief system, and how I might be scrutinized for having it.  My guide simply gave me a gut feeling, and some supportive emotions, as if to say that the personal belief system that I have created on my own based off of these experiences are meant to help me, and possibly some others who agree, maybe. Its not meant to be trendy, or be the right answer-- just what i have to offer to the table. I think its important that everyone knows this-- 99.7% of the time, you are not wrong in your beliefs, as long as they are intuitively founded.

You are not right!

But Cornet! You just said i’m not wrong-- so that means i should teach others what i know, right?

Yes, and no. You can offer a “Take-it-or-leave-it” approach, where you put your beliefs out there and the ones who want to hear it will listen-- the rest? Will go about their day (just don’t listen to any nasty remarks they might have.) But no, you should NEVER condemn someone for their own personal belief system, thinking they should follow yours. You may be correct in your own path, but it may match poorly with them. However, i do encourage putting the idea out there, so others can find their way, like me :)

Learn from other’s experiences!

There’s a lot of anecdotes out there! Make sure you study them, and let your intuition tell you if they’re real or not. There’s also people (like me) who put out what works for them, hoping to help you find  a way to find your own “Guide” or “Universe” or whatever you might find yourself believing in. I put my own stuff out there so that I may help readers get there, and if they don’t believe me, they are one step closer to what isn’t true to them.

Pick and choose which parts you think you need to better understand the world.
