The kind that gave him shade during zenith & since his life was inclining It seemed to be all he wanted Didn’t know it, he was only miles from the sun

She was pleasing to the eyes An ego boost

I watch & waited wondering if she was my karma too Because I’ve watched and I’ve waited & the mirror says “she’s hurting no one more than she’s hurting you”.

But I knew the truth Before he ever even knew I knew

Like a dog in heat Tongue on the ground for another & I still watered you.

Knew your mind had strayed So you can be whole again & I left the gate open for you.

I never closed it I simply watched & waited Tormented, for you.

Lately, My optimism has been thin. The bigger picture says i am happy. And i am. But beneath the strokes on the painting, Something underbreath is penetrated deep into the canvas There’s no way to see it unless you somehow rip it apart and dig deep into its threads. The colors are dark once you get deep in there Crimson reds & dark deep purples Everything is dim there Everything hurts there It’s Content not being the focal point of the painting Instead the under lining theme The one only the painter can see Only i can feel it Pulling all my strings Pulling me back Controlling me like a puppet The bigger picture says I’m happy But the truth is, Within there’s so much more that hides. A thick controlling grief is inside And the longer it sits, the deeper it sinks I feel it in the core of me Putting sores on the soul of me I hope the bright yellows & rainbows you all see in this frame of mine Don’t lose pigment & show what’s inside The true darkness of a tortured mind.

A pair of brown eyes snagged my attention. I pull back with a snap. Like a rubber-band. It smacked, me. But not On the hand – On my whole I could feel the vibrations on my soul I don’t know a better way to explain it Like earthquakes  My world shakes Hit like bombs Impacts, Got me seeing Stars No Cartoon  They aren’t circling around my head They are, Right where they are. These, Brown eyes got me Seeing things. Far beyond here & near & even Seeing past fear. Tried to stay away But, my spirit can not take it. Can’t handle any Amount of separation. Every move I make Those brown eyes are my destination. Turn to look & now I’m hooked. One look. & to those brown eyes I belong to. I belong to You.
