TO MAKE CAPTAIN AMERICA HYDRA IS DISGUSTING AND I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT AND I REFUSE TO ACCEPT IT AS CANON. I SUGGEST YOU, OR ANYONE WHO READS COMICS OR HAS THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF CARE FOR THE CHARACTER OF CAPTAIN AMERICA, DOES THE SAME.

WHAT THEY’RE DOING IS NOT ONLY COMPLETELY INSENSITIVE BUT DISGRACEFUL, DISRESPECTFUL, COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY INAPPROPRIATE, AND HONESTLY DOWNRIGHT DISGUSTING.

Its so offensive and so, so inappropriate. Doing this? Is practically shitting on the memory of Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. And I am completely, and utterly offended. Stop this. Boycott this. Keep blogging, sharing, tweeting,  do whatever is in your power to #SaveCaptainAmerica and #SayNoToHydraCap

Whatever it is you have to do, do it. Joe wouldn’t of wanted this. Jack wouldn’t of wanted this.

I am the luckiest girl on earth. Today I am in Seattle, Washington. I flew in for a 30 minute appointment to get finger printed and drug tested for my new job at 10AM, and now I get to explore Seattle all day until I fly home tonight. I took the tram 40 minutes from the airport to a place called “Pikes Place Market” and l have decided I’m never leaving. I have a silly love for farmers markets, but let me tell you. I AM IN LOVE with this one. It opened August 17th, 1907 and is still poppin y'all!! It’s HUGE. And it’s filled with fresh fish, veggies and so many beautiful flowers. I’m in farmers market heaven.

Seattle has already been an adventure! When I got off the tram, I walked down to the water front, and you guys, I stared directly at the Pacific Ocean!!!! I took about 3 pictures, and my phone died at about 40%. I’m in freaking Seattle, so i’m not going to not take pictures, right? So I start wandering, trying to find a bathroom to plug my phone into ( I also had about 40 oz of water in my bladder from preparing for the drug test, so the bathroom was needed!!) But every store I tried to go in was closed up for the day. Odd…It was 12 Pm on a Wednesday.. So I keep wandering around. TURNS OUT The entire Market and multiple blocks every direction had lost power! So I’m freaking out, because I have limited time, I have to pee, all the stores are closed on account of the outage but I still want pictures! So I keep wandering, until I hit the fish markets, and I am SO stoked!

If you guys know me, you know that I have an affinity for fresh/raw fish. Reminder, I’m ballin on a budget right now as well. So I carefully scan everything, deciding on how to treat myself. I finally chose a fresh oyster shot! Ive never had fresh oyster, and I was not disappointed. 

As I continue to walk, I am amazed at the diversity of the people. This is a total tourist area. But I guess I hadn’t realized how many people from not just the U.S., but all around the world were here.

I hadn’t eaten all day (Other than my oyster shot) so I picked a hole in the wall fish market restaurant, and sat down. I was immediately greeted by the owner, Drew. Y'all, Drew is my kind of person. He was loud, charismatic, hilarious, and loved his work and restaurant so much. I ate the best Grilled Salmon sandwich I’ve ever had, asked him for a picture, and I was on my way.

FUN FACT: The very first Starbucks is in Seattle! 

FUNNER FACT: It’s here! In the Market Place. 

FUNNEST FACT: It is super tiny, has no seating, and almost no one actually buys coffee, (which i’m sure really ticks the employees off) its just a tourist attraction. People stand inside, outside, and everywhere just snapping pictures. It was cute, but I didn’t stay.

I am in Seattle though, so of course I had to get a cup of coffee. I found a local coffee shop ( Local is A L W A Y S  better anyhow) and sat down to recharge myself, and my electronics.

But last time I reblogged one ten/fifteen minutes later I got a call offering me a job

But I reblogged it because I was waiting on hearing back from the job. So there you go.

I hope this qualifies,

I work for <big satellite tv company> doing residential installs for satellite tv. Several months ago I did an install at a duplex in a small town for a nice Filipino Lady (Now FL). She told me how happy she was to be in Canada and how her husband had worked for several years to bring her and their family (4 young children) into the country. These things made me happy and eager to help her. I proceed with my install.

Problem: On the side of the building, there is already a dish mounted, and the landlords will not permit me to mount an additional dish. However I can use the existing dish as it is the same brand and there are free ports on it.

So I run my cable and hook up her receiver to the existing dish, which belongs to her neighbor, Racist Bugger. Who from here on shall be known as RB.

Everything works out well and when I leave the whole family is crowded around the television changing the channels excitedly. I leave with a smile on my face.

About 45 minutes after I leave I get a phone call on my work cell.

FL: crying Someone cut our cable! Please come back and fix it!

Me: Sure, no problem. (shortened, obviously)

I get back to her house and the brand new cable I had just ran is cut clean in the middle and is lying loose. I ask FL if she had cut it and she had no idea what had happened.

So I decided to inquire with her neighbor.

Me: Hello, do you know anything about this cable?

RB: WHY IS THAT HOOKED UP TO MY SATELLITE! THATracial expletive CAN’T DO THAT! rude words and angryness ensues

Me: Okay, but explains situation there can be only one dish.

RB: TO BAD! SHE CAN’T USE MINE! more racial expletives but you get the drift

Me: Okay.

RB goes inside his house so I calmly walk over to the dish, remove his cables and the entire assembly. I then mount her dish in the exact same spot and cut his cables just to short to reach.

At this point RB comes out and starts raging at me to hook his tv back up. So I calmly explain to him that I got permission from the Landlord to supply FL with the service, and as that is the only dish that they will allow, he will have to ask FL if she will let him use her dish.

I smile and leave.
