born and raised in the new orleans, louisiana, malachi had been immersed in the lifestyle of witchcraft from the moment he entered the world. he was born into a strong coven, the strongest in louisiana and arguably one of the strongest in the south. his familial line could be traced back hundreds of years, all the way back to a tribe that practiced voodoo in africa. however, their magic oftentimes toed the line between dark and traditional. 

he lived in new orleans for the first decade of his life, only for him and his siblings to be uprooted and moved to ashwick valley by the choice of his parents. he later learned that they parted ways with the coven due to a rift between his father and the coven’s leader - his grandfather. 

as he grew up over the years, he grew more and more curious about dark magic and how to practice it. he came across a few members of the nox coven when he entered high school, and became close friends with them. that was how he was properly introduced to dark magic. 

from that point on, he began learning dark magic. he only delved deeper into dark magic around the age of 20 when his parents were killed in a car accident. he drowned out his pain and grief the best way he knew - magic.

despite being a user of dark magic, his personality is quite disarming and, for the most part, friendly. he’s the type of guy one would never assume has a dark side. you can almost always catch him with a smile on his face or cracking a rather crude joke. however, he can be confrontational. he’s not one to sugarcoat words or beat around the bush.

amira was born into a family that practiced traditional magic, however from a young age she found that it wasn’t enough for her. traditional magic was something she took to very easily, but it wasn’t challenging enough for her. she needed something that would challenge her - mentally and magically, which was how she got into dark magic in the first place. 

however her family weren’t too supportive about her decision to practice dark magic, and she was quickly booted out of her coven, and consequentially, was shunned from her family. luckily for her, by that time, she had already found solace in a close knit friend group that also enjoyed practicing dark magic. 

when all of them came together, it was one of the greatest feelings amira ever experienced. the sheer power and darkness of the magic that practiced filled her with a feeling of euphoria and ecstasy. she, although she would never mention it, has been searching for that kind of high, even after centuries of being unable to access her magic anymore.

becoming a vampire wasn’t what amira had wanted. she just wanted the opportunity to extend her lifeline and practice magic however she pleased for as long as she pleased. dying and coming back as a vampire had not been an easy adjustment for her - in fact, she considered taking her life, but refused to do so because of her newfound family. she didn’t want to abandon or leave them like her old family and coven abandoned her. 

years as an unstoppable killing machine has hardened her heart a bit. she’s not one to shy away from getting her hands dirty, and has created quite a name for herself amongst the supernatural community for her deadly she can be if she’s ever crossed. she’s known to hold a grudge, even if takes her 573 years, she’ll get her revenge in some way or another.
