every time i wanna make a post about how i hate being skinny i worry ima sound fatphobic. like ik that hating being skinny doesn't equal fatphobia. but a part of me feels like someone is gonna come into my rbs with like a "actually you can't say this because you're privileged because you're skinny and you don't understand what fat people go through and skinnyphobia doesn't exist and you're making up a problem" and it's like dude i never said i wasn't 'privileged' for being skinny. yes. i am a skinny white afab. but i also can't sit in a chair with no cushion because my ass will hurt. i gained 3 pounds from the time i was 7 to 9. I don't give a damn if you think that's fatphobic, it's my life and it's what i experience and I find myself in pain. I do not give a damn if I'm privileged. My privilege shouldn't mean I can't vent my frustrations that I personally believe are genuine because this is my life. Yes, I get privilege for being skinny. But I don't think that diminishes the pain I feel with my body. I do not like my body, for a variety of reasons and one of them is the fact I'm so skinny. I don't like being able to see my ribs. I don't like how I feel.
Is this fatphobic? For me to dislike my body? For me to not care that I have some privilege someone else of a larger body type doesn't have?
It's incredibly frustrating. I don't like having to walk this tightrope of "oh im gonna make people feel bad because the skinny bitch is complaining" like i have the right to complain???? I have every right to be frustrated???? but at the same time i don't wanna offend ppl bcs i don't wanna be deemed as fatphobic or anything but this is a genuine issue i have????
