Fynch: Oh hey hey, before you go into the temple, we should take bets on what this object is gonna be. I don’t technically have any glimmer but I do have a pretty solid theory based on what we found so far.

Ikroa: Yes. Don’t distract the Guardian. We’ve already taking a gamble that this thing has the answers we need. The Traveler and the Last City are depending on it.

My Guardian the whole time.

The Guardian had been mindlessly harvesting Spirit Bloom, the workings of his thoughts miles away from this place. Venus was a breathtaking planet, even if it did try to murder you around every corner.

“I’m a walking corpse with no memory of who I was before a certain point. Conversations aren’t my strong suit.”

The little robot floated in front of him and hovered. “But you do remember things.”

The Guardian sighed, taking a seat on the nearest rock and lowering his hood. “My little light…”

“Don’t call me that.”

“John…”

Ghost made a series of little beeps, opening and closing his tiny little shield. The name still growing on him but it wasn’t unheard of for Guardians to name their Ghosts.

“The unfamiliar language and the blue flowers in the Cosmodrome. You aren’t supposed to remember but I have a thought that you remember a great deal.”

“It doesn’t matter because anything that I was is no more. What matters is the here and now. What’s past is past, is it not?”

A defeated little beep, another sigh. “Besides I don’t know what you wish to talk about.”

“Answering when I gather information for our case is a start.”

“Then I will endeavor to do better.”

“And who knows, maybe Ishtar’s library will help us personally.”

“Us?”

Ghost hovered a little closer to the Guardian’s face. “We are born knowing that we have to find our Guardian. We don’t know what they look like but we know what they look like on the inside. We always know.”

“I’m pleased you found me.”
