Nirvana Studio - Audio Cassette Pt. I

Today I realized that the only person that I need to put my focus and care into is me. For so long, I’ve always catered to what other people want and need and would bend backwards to make sure that they’re ok and happy. Yet, whenever it comes to me, I end up being disappointed by how everyone ignores me and only acknowledges me as an afterthought. Even yesterday, while I was expecting my family and friends to tell me happy birthday and show their love to me, only my close family and 2 best/close friends celebrated with me. Regardless of who did and who didn’t do anything, I’m happy because the ones that celebrated with me were the ones I truly valued the most. Most importantly, I’m happy because I finally gained the confidence to see how beautiful and wonderful I really am. From suffering from severe depression and anxiety, to being overweight, to not being able to work or find a job, to being molested and raped, to having my things and time taken away from me, to surviving a suicide attempt last year, I finally love me. And that’s all that matters.
