Blogify

Musictaste.space is a website using spotify’s API. It serves two main functions. The first one is a website similar to spotify.me (a now defunct website run by spotify) the website will show you things like top artists and songs by 1 month, 6 month, and all time. It will also tell you how happy, danceable, acoustic etc your music is and it will provide an obscurify score. At this time musictaste.space will also make you a quarantine playlist of songs you have been listening to a lot through this time although I doubt this feature is permanent (it better not be haha I need this to end at some point). 

The second and main feature of the website is comparing your music taste vs friends or strangers. When you sign up you are given two codes one that will show your name and picture when input into the website and one that won’t. When people input that code into the website musictaste.space will start to compare both your spotify music history and analytics to come up with a percentage score  between 0%-100% musictaste.space will also show you common artists, songs, and genres and you can even make a playlist with songs you have in common (works best with scores over 40%) 

Overall this website is a great place to find spotify.me, obscurify, and a new comparison feature all in one! This is a fun and useful tool for many people whether you have just meet or have been friends for years or even are total strangers this is a super fun and easy way to find common ground.
