“    masochistic.    ”    noh - varr confirmed,  with a nod.    “    pain that is intentionally inflicted on ones self.  pain that feels deserved.    ”    he hadn’t given the upcoming wedding hardly any thought aside from excitement for an up coming party but it was clear that billy and teddy weren’t the only ones who had been agonizing over it.  tommy was clearly hurting and that made noh - varr very sad.

“     Don't quote Taylor Swift at me.     ” He huffs arms wrapping tight around his body as his eyes cast downwards. “     It's not like that. You don't get it.     ” Logically, Tommy knows that no one would get it, not even Billy, but that doesn't quell the ache in his chest every time he sees what could have been.

Neon lights bounce off of wet pavement in a way that shimmers and sparkles as the moonlight beats down on the concrete, a sight that normally would seem beautiful to unfocused eyes, but as Tommy stumbles through the streets, head swimming thanks to a concussion and a nasty fever that runs through his body, he’s a little less taken in by it. Instead, the speedster tries to find somewhere safe to heal up. It was a miracle in itself that he'd managed to even get here but in his daze all he can seem to do is walk north and hope with nothing but his shadow for company, until he eventually finds himself colliding with none other than Tony Stark.
