The Inter-House Swimming Competition for students of Grades 3 to 8 was conducted with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship in the school pool area. Students showcased remarkable energy, discipline, and confidence through various swimming events and relay races. The Event beautifully reflected the school’s 3C Model by focusing on Character and Competency through teamwork, perseverance, confidence, and the enhancement of physical fitness and swimming skills. The pool area resonated with excitement and cheering as students participated with great spirit and determination.

On 4th May, Sparsh had the privilege of hosting a truly enriching literary session as young author 𝐍𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐚 unveiled I Wish I Told You Sooner, the eagerly awaited sequel to her earlier book, I Wish I Knew Everything. The auditorium was imbued with reflection and inspiration as she shared the journey behind her writing.

With remarkable candour and a deeply relatable voice, Naysa engaged students in a thoughtful dialogue on growing up, unasked questions, and the emotions we often leave unspoken. Her words encouraged students to introspect deeply, articulate confidently, and value the power of their own perspectives.

The session resonated beautifully with Sparsh’s 𝟑𝐂 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥—𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲. Exchanging experience and knowledge remains one of the most powerful ways to enrich learning for every individual. At Sparsh, we live this belief through the 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 — a platform where educators come together to learn from each other’s practices, perspectives, and pedagogy.

Recently, Sparsh had the privilege of hosting educators from Bhutan for an immersive exchange focused on the 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐦 and its role in shaping the next generation. The visiting teachers shared firsthand insights on how the curriculum moves beyond rote learning to build core skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, research, communication, and collaboration.

𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦.

Our Grade 5 students explored the concept of rounding numbers through fun and engaging activities. The “Roll the Dice” challenge added excitement as students, in groups of four, rolled the dice five times to create numbers up to the hundredths place. It became a game of both luck and smart thinking as they aimed to form the greatest number and score points, followed by rounding them to different place values.

To connect learning with real life, students also brought bills from home and practiced rounding them. The excitement continued with a lively Bingo game, where numbers from 1 to 25 were on the sheets, and the teacher called out decimal numbers. Students worked in pairs to round them to the nearest whole number and quickly mark their boards, racing to complete rows, columns, diagonals, and a full house.

These activities made learning enjoyable while strengthening their understanding, speed, and confidence in rounding numbers.

Through guided activities, rhythmic exercises, and short group performances, students actively participated, leading to meaningful 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 and strong 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

The celebration reflected the school’s 3C model—𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦—by instilling discipline, teamwork, and confidence (𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫), enhancing rhythm, coordination, and expressive abilities (𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲), and fostering an appreciation for dance as a creative pursuit (𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦).

Avishi Singh (8B) secured a Bronze Medal in the 100m Backstroke event.

Viaan Singh (V A) delivered an outstanding performance by winning two medals — a Silver Medal in the 100m Breaststroke and a Bronze Medal in the 200m Individual Medley.

Abhinav Singh Panwar ( 6C) also brought glory by clinching a Silver Medal in the 50m Freestyle event, reflecting his speed and dedication.

Curiosity met confidence in our Grade 6A classroom as our young learners took the stage to present their interactive PowerPoint presentations on Unit 1: Cells

From explaining how the cell is the basic unit of life to confidently distinguishing between plant and animal cells, students showcased not just knowledge—but true understanding. The presentations went beyond, exploring specialized cells in the human body and building connections all the way up to tissues, organs, and organ systems.

What truly stood out was the energy in the room—students didn’t just present, they engaged. Thought-provoking questions, interactive slides, and peer discussions turned the session into a collaborative learning experience rather than a one-way presentation.

Our Grade IX and X Sparshites explored the powerful habit of 𝐁𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞, inspired by The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. Through the ideas of Circle of Influence and Pause & Choose, they discovered the value of staying calm, thinking wisely, and focusing on what they can control rather than what they cannot.

By navigating this psychological landscape, our students are strengthening the Character pillar of our 3C Model, learning that while life’s challenges may lie beyond their control, their mindset, resilience, and effort remain firmly within it. Such clear and confident thinking reflects how our Sparshites are shaping their own bright futures.
