01.11.2018 // I managed to get a bit of reading done yesterday. I’m starting research for a new chapter draft, and so it’s nice to be able to just read and see what’s out there. I’ve had quite a busy start to term: there have been lots of meetings and events to organise and attend, and I’ve just started work as a teaching assistant. As the paper (module) spreads across time periods, I’ve found my knowledge really stretched by the class, which has been wonderfully refreshing, and I’ve found that enthusiasm for new things spreading to my own research.
It sometimes feels like I don’t have enough time for my own work, and that I’m really concerned with other peoples’ all the time, but so far that’s been quite a good thing: I’m no longer in a rut, and talking to other people about other things has drawn me out of myself.
