People are really mad that Nike released plus size clothes?  How can you say they’re promoting obesity for making athletic clothes in bigger sizes lmao, what do you expect bigger people to wear if they wanted to work out if there aren’t any plus size clothes?

the same people who whine and say “fat people should just work out!!” are now mad Nike is making bigger sizes. i can’t

But nice clothes are only for skinny people. Fat people have to wear rags until they earn nice things by over-exxersizing and starving themselves out. Because that’s totally way healthier than being comfortable in your body and becoming active naturally.

What even IS “promoting obesity?” Like ‘hey, lads and lasses, check out this super cool lifestyle choice which will bring you scorn, ridicule, ill-fitting clothing, and possibly the need to purchase two plane tickets on a flight that isn’t even full! Join this misunderstood group where you will automatically get passed over for jobs regardless of qualifications and guarantees your doctor will never look past your weight when you have a health issue! Oh, and don’t forget, everyone will feel like can comment on your dietary choices whether you ask or not!” It’s as if being told overweight people are human and possibly even *gasp* confident takes away the one socially acceptable prejudice and folks don’t like that. “But I *want* to make fat jokes without that nagging guilt.”
