Mayson's Sparkle Stitches

This design is a minimalist, floor-length gown featuring a sharp V-neckline in a soft pastel green. The clean silhouette draws inspiration from 1930s elegance, with a modern twist introduced through color and accessories. I also included a matching jewelry concept earrings and a necklace to reflect and complement the neckline design.

Accessories

The geometric drop earrings are designed to echo the angular V-shape of the neckline. They combine muted jewel tones—amethyst, aquamarine, and peridot—to bring a subtle color play against the calm dress palette. The necklace is understated and mirrors the neckline for a cohesive aesthetic.

Inspiration & Materials

This piece was influenced by early Hollywood glamour and my ongoing exploration of combining fashion with accessory design. The use of complementary shapes across garment and jewelry adds a sense of balance and completeness to the final look.

In this project, I explored how personality and purpose influence clothing choices. I created three different designs to reflect distinct occasions: professional workwear, an elegant evening dress, and a playful tea party outfit. This work is rooted in the idea that fashion is a form of self-expression that changes with social roles, moods, and environments.

This is a custom-designed two-piece baby outfit featuring a sleeveless blouse and a matching skirt, both made with soft, natural fabric. The ensemble is light, breathable, and perfect for a baby’s delicate skin. Hand embroidery and playful details bring a personal, charming touch to the final look.

This study explores the construction of different pocket types used in fashion design, specifically inner (concealed) and outer (visible) pockets. The aim was to understand their functional and aesthetic roles in garments, while practicing accurate cutting, shaping, and assembly techniques. Inner Pockets (الجيوب الداخلية)

These are sewn discreetly into the inside of garments, often used in lightweight summer clothes and garments with linings.

Require precise internal lining and fabric management

Must remain invisible from the outside

Constructed using two fabric pieces for depth

Provide utility without affecting silhouette

Outer Pockets (الجيوب الخارجية)

These are visible and often decorative as well as functional.

Draw more attention to fabric shape and stitching

Created by tracing the desired shape onto paper or tracing film

Cut and placed carefully on the garment’s surface

Can be customized for size and placement, often using mockups first

This project showcases a handmade children’s dress that begins with timeless simplicity and ends in a magical, princess-inspired transformation. Using satin and tulle in soft, airy tones, the dress was designed for versatility perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or special moments. Finishing touches such as accessories and carefully matched shoes brought the look to life, blending elegance with youthful charm.

 Step 1: Choosing the Color Palette & Materials

The journey began with choosing sky blue and white—a soft, timeless combination perfect for a dreamy children's dress. I wanted the design to feel both classic and youthful, making it versatile for birthdays, weddings, or special events.

For the fabric, I selected:

Satin for the main body: gives a beautiful, glossy finish that captures light gracefully.

Tulle for the underlayer: adds volume, playfulness, and a gentle fairytale touch.

Step 2: Matching Shoes

To complement the soft tones of the dress, I paired it with white ballet flats. These are not only comfortable for kids but also keep the look elegant and age-appropriate. A small bow detail on the shoes adds a charming finish without taking away from the dress’s beauty.

 Step 3: Enhancing the Look – Accessories & Jewelry

Once the main dress was complete, I decided to elevate the look and transform it into something truly magical. Here are the finishing touches I added:

A satin waistband with a flower and ribbon for detail and structure

A sparkling tiara for a princess-like feel

Crystal drop earrings to give a formal, refined look

A silver bracelet and ring to match the tiara and earrings, tying the accessories together

These additions took the dress from beautiful to breathtaking—perfect for a photo shoot, party, or special performance.
