After a while, Jasper spoke again. “Come on Skinny, let’s do something. You can just sit around and mope.” Jasper closed her eyes to focused and in a couple seconds shifted to look like Amethyst as Purple Puma (though clearly orange)

“Wanna wrestle? If I remember, you beat 8XM a few times.” Skinny looked up at Jasper and smiled slightly but didn’t say anything. “Okay, no wrestling.” Jasper thought for a bit as she pooped back into her normal shape. She closed her eyes again and focused on shifting into Holy Blue. 

“Well, you certainly can’t be sitting on that rock out here in the wild. It isn’t like my very clean and highly respected zoo, where everything is spotless and … sanitary!” Jasper mocked. This time Skinny chuckled slightly. “Then again, what do I expect from an off-color beta.” 

Jasper turned back into herself, shaking her limbs and stretching. She hadn’t shifted this much in a long time. It just felt a little odd, but she’d do anything for her sisters. She closed her eyes for a long time focusing trying to get it just right. 

“Yo! Skinny! Remember when 8XM found us?” Skinny looked at Jasper, clearly surprised to see Carnelian’s form looking back at her. “She promised nothing bad would happen. She PROMISED she’d fight for us, WITH us! Primes AND Betas. Have some faith alright. Just ‘cus we’re short doesn’t mean we’re weak. She’s got this. We’ve got this. They’ll find us.” With that, Jasper popped back to her own shape. She looked at Skinny and gave her a hug. “We’ll find them.”
