Geno in the official 2D Mario artstyle! 💙⭐️

As per the 2D Mario renders I also thought I’d showcase the flat color work an lineart on their own, I spent WAY too much time on this LMAO.

This doozy right here is a blurb showcasing how I mapped out Geno’s “canon” proportions based on given information, featuring some mock-up sketches (WARNING CURSED GENO-WITHOUT-HIS-CAPE SKETCHES + INCESSANT YAPPING 😭).

And lastly… the most fun part, the color schemes! 💖

In order of appearance, left-to right:

1. Geno’s 1995 render from his promotional artworks

2. In-game sprite

3. The 2023 remake (it’s wild how drastically different this one is from the others)

4. @nintendonut1’s color scheme (yes I had to sneak this in for the novelty) 🤭

5. The color palette I came up with using a mix of all three official renders :3

And here he is with the rest of the gang! I’m gonna be real, I did not expect Geno to integrate so well with the Mario cast. I NEED to draw Mallow next 🥹☁️

My tapestry is done!!!!!!

it’s about 23,000 double crochets, not counting the chain stitches and slip stitches and such holding them all together. I made this entire thing with a 3.75 mm hook! I started this in December so it’s been about four, four and a half months of solid work.

What inspired it is that the prior owners of the home put up stone veneer on this wall, as you can see in the photo, but they left a massive gap in the stone where their TV was. Well, our TV is way too small to fill that gap, and even if it were the right size we don’t want the TV there, so… fiber arts!

Sure, there are a couple things I’d do differently if I were starting over, but I’m NOT starting over, so you know what? It’s perfect anyway.

On one night home front the Forest Maze, Mallow and Geno encountered a familiar bird.
