This ringed ammonia world caught my eye from the system map. Doesn’t look too pleasant down there.

Passing this earth-like world sealed it: I miss civilisation. Never thought I’d say that.

Traikeou nebula, 13th August 3302

The expedition continues, slowly. On to the Traikeou nebula, stopping off to pick up materials on the way.

My Scarab casts its shadow towards the second planet in the system, a water world, from a remote spot on its moon.

NGC 6820 nebula, 5th June 3302

After a string of T-Tauris it was a relief to finish this stage on a massive Class B, here seen reflected in my canopy. Also, although the primary star had already been tagged there was plenty in the system that hadn’t. That might have something to do with two of the stars being almost half a million light seconds away, but at least it gives me time to plot my course into the NGC 6820 nebula.

At only 12.70LS from the star, the second planet in this system is hellish. With a surface temperature of 961K and a constant red haze, it’s like being in a bad dream.

This icy moon orbits a gas giant with water-based life. I wonder if there’s anything there with the capacity to look up and wonder?

I’m further along the spur now, probably half way to reaching the Sagittarius arm proper. Found some wreckage on a high metal content planet with some more Alliance data. Judging by the wrecked SRVs and skimmers, more than one person has been out here before me.

I found what looks like a crashed navigation beacon on a ringed high metal content world. No idea what it’s doing this far out or how long it’s been here. When scanned I found it contains some data for the Alliance, which I should remember to turn in if and when I make it back to civilisation.
