Since you are interested in exploring the Christian side of Matsui, you may find my analysis of his design fascinating! I talk about it a lot there (pretty much the entire part 1 is about it). I also talk about his omamori and how it may or may not be different from what you assume it is. The second part goes into other Gous' designs, though Matsui is still the focus. As a bird Saniwa, you may find it exciting that there are actually some bird Gous in the cast!
