Hi! Oh wow, it feels really strange not to have to write anonymously for once itβs kind of intimidating. Until now, I had only used this page for questions to users :,) Iβm the Music Industry AU anon, itβs been SUCH a long time!
While I was trying to regain confidence in myself, my work, and my ideas, a whole long year of my masterβs degree went by, with internships and certification exams in between lol, so I couldnβt move forward with this little project that meant so much to me as quickly as I would have likedβ¦ But after a year of working and reworking my story, its details, the characters and their relationships, even if I wasnβt able to dedicate myself to it as fully as I wanted, I can finally say that I found the courage to publish the first chapter of my Music Industry AU fic.
The rough mixed excerpt I shared here back then was honestly so bad and poorly translated lol. It took me a while to rebuild my confidence in myself and my work (and to change my translation method too lol), but I wanted to personally thank you and your blog, not only for encouraging interesting ideas back then, but also for helping me reconnect with writing.
I think Iβve improved, because after a very long period of depression, a few years ago, my brain has struggled to focus, to write like I used to, in the style I loved so much and hope to find again someday. But creating and working on this project gave me back that spark, so to speak. I knew I had an idea with too much potential to let it go to waste because of poor writing I would never have forgiven myself, and Iβve been working every day since then to try to find myself again.
My first chapter is a little old now, so it probably has its flaws, and the other two chapters Iβve had time to write are currently being polished, but Iβm happy that I managed to take this huge step for myself. I really wanted to thank you and the followers who were there for that little moment of sharing that made all the difference for me.
Iβm so happy to be trying my chance without feeling too ashamed of my work. I donβt really care if it ends up being corny because of my approach, or maybe because of a not-so-great adaptation or a lack of visibility (itβs actually good since Iβm mostly training) I just want to have fun with the universe I created, hoping that the process becomes easy and natural again as I keep writing, without having that kind of anxiety about posting, and while slowly regaining the full confidence I used to have in my writing style, which Iβm starting to embrace again..
Once again, thank you, and lots of love <3
Omg, I am so happy I woke up to this message. Firstly, I'm so glad you kept writing and finding yourself and that spark. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU. ππππππ
I'm going through my own burn out right now so this message really hit me at the right time.
It really means a lot to me that our little community here was able to help. I'm genuinely so touched. I remember all of those messages and people were really into the concept and it was fun trying to figure out everyone's positions in the industry!
I hope you have a great time exploring the world you created, thank you so much for the update!
