When you’re growing up in abusive environment there’s such a strong feeling of “not belonging here”, “not being a part of anything” and feeling like you’re not supposed to be among humans at all, and only wishing that someone would come already and take you home. To another planet, where there’s people like you, where you wouldn’t be a burden or nuisance, where you wouldn’t feel guilty for just being, for existing as you are. It feels all wrong, being in a place where you’re so despised, as if it would be better if you didn’t exist at all. We all just want to go to our real home.

Growing up fat, you get made fun of for everything you do, even basic shit like eating and laughing and breathing are funny when you do it because youre fat! And its so hard to not carry that with you as you get older, like I’m still embarassed to eat or dance in front of people or smile in pictures and its ridiculous and I hate it and I wish I was treated with more humanity

Literally my entire adult life is slowly retraining myself to be comfortable with doing simple things that make me happy. Like showing my teeth when I smile, wearing a tank top and/or shorts when it’s hot out, not publicly mock myself for slightly tripping or saying the wrong word, etc. Its weird knowing what aspects of my life I let other people dictate, and what I was mocked for just because I was a chubby kid.
