The other day a friend of ours (who does not know about that whole thing) came up with an imaginary "what if?" scenario that was nearly identical to my weird "dead sister" complex barring a few minor changes, and the few ppl in the room who knew about that were all just sitting there silently because none of us knew if he knew and was being incredibly cruel or if it was just an insanely poorly targeted hypothetical (it was the second one) and no one was quite sure what to say.

Any time I'm trying to match my breathing with someone elses I can't help but think back to having naps with my mum as a little girl and trying to match my breathing to hers, especially while she was asleep and I wasn't (I could never manage it of course, I was tiny and she was a grownup).
