I have atypical endometrial hyperplasia which is a precancerous condition in my uterus. I'm going to be getting a hysteroscopy soon to determine if there is any underlying cancer cells. And from there I will be getting a hysterectomy, either by my gynecologist or an oncologist depending on if there is cancer present or not.

his apartment in kamurocho didn't differ too much from the cramped living space he had in sotenbori. few amenities, little space, but comfortable enough for now. yoru made herself busy pawing at reijiro's neglected bowl of instant ramen, dipping her paw in the broth, licking, and dipping it back in. his own attention was elsewhere, gaze carried on the gentle summer night breeze to gaze at yonder stars in the night sky.

curled up on his floor sofa, he reflects on the relatively quiet events of the past week. mama's past words ring in his mind's ear, reminding him that the world of the yakuza wasn't one he wanted to get mixed up in. kashiwagi-san wasn't like the brash, loud-mouthed thugs that seemed so common in sotenbori. tall, commanding, straight-laced, with a piercing glare that entranced and intimidated him in equal measure, kashiwagi-san was... a cut above the rest.

i suppose he has to be... he's the family... captain? lieutenant? whatever. herding yakuza must be so stressful regardless of his title. he looked... tired. or maybe that's just his face.

yoru takes to drinking from the ramen cup, no longer stealing droplets of flavored broth with her paw. she shows no interest in the noodles.

i meet with kazama-han in just a couple of days... i'm nervous but. if i can reach an agreement with him...

reijiro pulls a cushion to his chest, bound uncomfortably flat beneath layers of unyielding fabric.

the yakuza have money. loads of it. the bubble may have burst but so few self-respecting clinics are willing to entertain them... if i can get my foot in the door... then maybe i can get what i need. and maybe i can... see him again, too. wouldn't... wouldn't that be delightful? i wonder if he'll be there at the meeting with kazama-han... oh, i hope i don't screw this up. please don't screw this up...
