Lee Seokmin who grew up in a middle class muggle family 

His mom is a teacher, his dad is a lawyer

Lee Seokmin, who at first thought the letter was some kind of joke

so he threw the letter in the trash

Fast forward a week and his house was flooding with letters

It then came clear to him that maybe it wasn’t a sick joke

And he actually was a wizard

Lee Seokmin who nearly lost his mind when he first visited Diagon Alley

Because “Mom dad look that broom actually flies!”

His parents were dead scared for him at first

But then they saw him walking into the broom shop and they knew this is where their son belonged

Lee Seokmin who walked into Olivander’s with the biggest smile in the whole world

Olivander instantly knew what wand was made for him

Acaccia wood, unicorn hair core, 12 inches, mild flexibility

Olivander to this day swears a wand had never shinned so brightly when choosing it’s wizard

He is not wrong

Lee Seokmin who wasn’t even a bit nervous walking into the platform

Because somehow, somehow he knew he was meant to be a wizard

Lee Seokmin who spent the whole train ride with Kim Mingyu and Minghao and somehow managed to seem amazed at everything they said

He also fell in love with chocolate frogs that day

He has a secret supply under his bed since third year

No one but Mingyu knows about this

“Are those thirty chocolate frog wrappers under your bed?”

“This is not the time to judge my decisions, now if you excuse me, I’m going to buy some more.”

Lee Seokmin who the hat needed exactly 0.35 seconds to place in hufflepuff

The hat barely even touched his head, that’s just how obvious it was

Lee Seokmin whose favorite subject is history of magic

No one knows why, like generally it is a very boring subject

But Seokmin just wants to learn as much as he can about the wizarding world so he finds the class fascinating

Lee Seokmin who has been the seeker for the hufflepuff team since third year

No one expected him to be a good seeker tbh

No one expected him to be good at flying, period.

His parents almost had a heart attack when Seokmin told them he got into the team

Because “Honey is that the sport where they fly???”

But soon enough everyone was proven wrong because this boy knows how to fly

He caught his first snitch in record time (one minute forty seven seconds)

Everyone is so proud of him for this, like the whole house cheered when they found out he was chosen as head boy

He just loves being around magic in general

The three broomsticks is his favorite place in the whole world

Like everyone thought he was crazy at first

But then everyone noticed they were very convenient

“Wait you don’t have to dip it in ink?”

“Minghao for the last time, the ink is inside the pen.”

“This is genius! Seokmin I want to do business with you…”

He runs an underground pen shop with Minghao since third year

They sell everything from normal black pens, to color changing pens, to invisible ink pens that drove everyone crazy because “HOW ISNT THIS MAGIC??”

The business pays for his (formerly) secret chocolate frog supply

Lee Seokmin who constantly has to remind himself that Hogwarts isn’t a dream

Lee Seokmin who spent his first year at Hogwarts scared of sleeping because he was scared he would wake up back at home

Because for the first eleven years of his life he felt like he didn’t belong anywhere

And know he knows he does belong somewhere, and that place is the hufflepuff common room

And the quidditch pitch

And the great hall

And the kitchens

Everywhere near magic basically

Lee Seokmin who is known as the ray of sunshine of hufflepuff

Which is saying something because he is the ray of sunshine among rays of sunshine

HUFFLEPUFF LEE SEOKMIN PEOPLE

- You probably met through a mutual friend because, let’s face it, Wonwoo would be too shy to approach you

- He was extremely shy at first and a little awkward, but super fluffy and adorable so that’s okay

- As he got more comfortable with you, he’d send you jokes throughout the day

- And pictures of stuff that reminded him of you (”Look, this phone case reminded me of you!” or “Look, I was googling pictures of tigers (don’t ask why) and this baby one is you when you’re mad!”)

- His feet are always cold and that means he’s always placing them on you sorry

- You guys are on the same wavelength and even finish each other’s sentences, which really annoys Woozi

joshua is granite countertops and spices in glass jars with brown paper labels and bouquets of white carnations wrapped in brown paper and burlap with twine bows that are just beginning to wilt. joshua is chalkboard dust and awkward shy smiles hidden behind hands adorned with thin silver rings evolving into unabashed laughs as the months fly by. joshua is pure white clouds tinted with hues of pink and orange by cotton candy sunsets and tiny plants weaving their way through cracks in concrete pavement. joshua is conversation giving way to serene silence and boyish smiles because sometimes, just sitting with him is enough.

jihoon is vintage cassette tapes and vinyl records purchased on impulse with no consideration of how neither of you has anything to play them on. jihoon is mustard sweaters coming all the way down to his thighs and fingers haphazardly adjusting fluffy hair over his forehead. jihoon is random gifts sitting proudly on your bed after a rough day because he knows exactly how to make you feel better, even if he does blush every time you thank him and shield his red cheeks from prying eyes. jihoon is thin slivers of sunlight slipping past edges of heavy white curtains and the crumbling of soft sheets he buries himself deeper into them, as if to delay dawn.

seokmin is homemade cookies and apple and cinnamon pies which, no matter how closely he follows the recipes, always turn out just slightly off. seokmin is handpoured soywax candles in polished glass jars and too-long duster coats skimming your ankles. seokmin is the feeling of stepping out of air-conditioned buildings and the warmth of the sun prickling on your chilled skin.  seokmin is the crackle of crunchy leaves beneath the heels of roughed-up sneakers and lilting laughs hurriedly muffled by palms of hands when people start to stare at him keeling over in hysterics at your joke that wasn’t even that funny to begin with.

seungkwan is yellow flowers blooming as winter turns over to spring and sharp dusk air on long evening walks with him swinging your connected hands back and forth a little too high, like a child. seungkwan is gold wind chimes swaying in the breeze and overpriced cupcakes topped with too-sweet frosting. seungkwan is the sound thick paper makes when it’s crumpled and fake annoyance melting into laughs of admittance when he concedes that your pun wasn’t actually that bad. seungkwan is taking comfort in everything, yet always seeking new adventures as long as you’re with him.

hoshi: fizzy drinks, pancakes with too much golden syrup, the signature echo of a voice projected by a megaphone, passion flowers, lightning striking the ocean, hysterical laughter, fruit salad, time lapses of spring flowers coming into bloom, a feeling of refreshment

jun: the sound of the sea, freshly washed white linens, snowdrops in cemeteries, sentimental music, piercing eyes, pre-ripped jeans, the texture of greeting cards, salty air, dark chocolate, elegant hands, the warmth of an arm wrapping around your shoulder, soprano vocal ranges, a feeling of confidence

minghao: the smell of the earth after rain; petrichor, faux leather bound notebooks filled with scribbled writing and sketches, herbal teas, dirty shoelaces, messy bookshelves, ink and paint stained fingers, autumnal, the reserved chatter heard in coffee shops, a feeling of hope

this has been done so many times but I can never seem to find one I really agree with so I’m making my own with justifications ok.

this ended up at 1.8k which is more than i wrote for my last essay and if that doesn’t say something about my priorites and motivation then idk what does.

also last thing i promise but i do mtls for seventeen, bts, exo and knk so ask me stuff pls i rly enjoy doing it :)

also not surprisingly really good at defense against the dark arts

fifth year minghao getting lots of people fawning over him bc of how he suddenly dyed his hair white (and those years of intense quidditch training sure helped too)  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

still gets really shy every time he gets called handsome by girls and guys alike

minghao writing secret letters to the person he likes and sends them via charmed paper airplane and gets all giggly 

as the years go by he gets stronger and more confident (que thughao)

got into a big fight in 6th year with a gryffindor because they claimed slytherin house cheated in the quidditch finals 

which they didn’t. they won fair and square and hao worked super hard

you’re a famous actress working on a new drama and with your growing popularity, you need a little more muscle when you go to sets and such during your everyday life

well, mingyu fit the bill

looks really good in his standard clean cut black suit

unlike the other bodyguards who wear a white button up underneath, he wears a black one because he was eating breakfast tacos on the job and got salsa on his shirt one time

then he panicked and ran to the bathroom to clean it, but then the other bodyguard came to get him because shooting was over for the day so he had to sit in the van with you on the way back to your agency with his shirt balled up in his hands and his suit jacket showing off his bare chest

he honestly was on his way to getting fired that day because of his “astounding unprofessional antics” but you just laughed and asked mingyu why he wasn’t wearing a shirt and when he told you, you just told your manager who hired him that you wanted mingyu as a permanent bodyguard

in class he’ll be really quiet and looks like he’s just spacing out

but really, he really is paying attention or already knows the lesson

cause he’s the type to read the entire book within the first month, unless it’s boring as hell

does his friend’s homework like once in a blue moon

and that’s after being bribed and convinced 

after coming back for forth year, all the girls pretty much noticed how puberty did him justice

half the school was pinning for a date

though this only lasted about a month after wonwoo gave them odd looks and turned them down

in reality he just didn’t know what to say because it was pretty obvious those girls only wanted him as an object or title 

and he happened to have a crush already

and had transfiguration and herbology with him as a slytherin

“hmp, i’ll get wonwoo over here” he turns his head and subtlety motions to wonwoo to come over 

wonwoo just laughs quietly at you and jihoon’s work and patiently shows you how to do it

“ahh i see thanks a bunch wonwoo” 

“you welcome oh-” he gets dragged off to the side by jihoon

but that this point you were too focused on not failing the class and didn’t notice anything wrong

“what? i didn’t do a thing!” wonwoo denies a little too quickly

“mhmm you looked back at y/n like 10 times while you were showing us. you even crinkled your nose at her” he says with raises eyebrows, daring him to deny again

“fine okay so what?” wonwoo replies, slightly embarrassed 

“so ask her out.”

“i don’t even know if she likes me, do you?”

he stops short from the sound of your voice

“jihoon get over here im not doing all of this by myself”

jihoon simply shrugs his shoulder at wonwoo and leaves

shaking his head and adjusting his glasses, he goes back to reading his book

he finished his assignment within the first 5 minutes of class after all

after class you nod your head goodbye to jihoon and start walking with your friend

“i saw you there with wonwoo~” she sings happily

“what kinda of nonsense are you saying so loud” you roll you eyes

she quiets down, unaffected by you, “meaning i saw you and wonwoo! you two were totally flirting with each other” 

“i thought ravenclaws were supposed to be smart” 

but you couldn’t hind the redness on your cheeks at her remark

“mhmm. anyways let’s go to lunch and eat! do you know you need 46g of protein per day” 

“yes yes i know this is the 2nd time you’ve told me this month” 

“well i wouldnt have to if you eat properly. come sit with me! im gonna make sure you eat!” 

shaking your head fondly, you agree

eating at other house’s tables is technically not allowed but everyone does it anyways so it doesn’t matter

you find your self greeting wonwoo who your friend sits across from

and ignore your friends foot nudging yours

“so what are you sitting here for?” he asks, the cute smile still on his face

your friend buts in, “im making sure she eats properally cause-” 

she whips her head and glares painfully at you who stepped on her foot sharply

wonwoo seems kind of surprises at her abrupt stop but nods

“well i’ll leave you then, make sure you eat well”

your friend squeals quietly and whispers

“you where practically beaming” she teases 

“hmm” you sound simply and take a spoonful of your food

as the you both get done eating, you stand up, bidding goodbye to your friend who stays and chats 

as you leave the dining hall you almost run into wonwoo with his read ducked inside a book walking slowly

“oh!“ you yelp staring up at him with wide eyes 

"ah I’m sorry” he apologizes and closes the book, holding it at his side  

you become curious at the different cover from magical books 

“what are you reading?” your heart is slowly speeding up at your initiative to further the conversation 

“ah it’s a muggle book, I don’t want to bore you" 

you notice the way he rubs the back of his neck nervously 

so freakin cute 

you slightly smirk, "try me, my best friend is a muggleborn ravenclaw, i’ve had my fair share" 

laughing, he hands you the book, "it’s called ‘Macbeth.’ it’s a muggle classic apparently" 

you nod and answer how you’ve actually read the classic 'romeo and juliet' 

which leads the both of you into deep 

conversation about books and such 

the two of you just end up casually taking a walk around the castle 

"i hope it’s not rude to ask but, are you halfblood or?” you ask cautiously 

honestly you just wanted to know more about him 

“actually I’m a pureblood” he replies almost sheepishly 

your eyes noticeably show surprise, “it’s cool you’re interested in muggle stuff. i’m a halfblood myself" 

this must mean he’s not one of those super traditional purebloods right?

so.. that means he'll 

'stop don’t think about that’ you scream in your head 

only so much time can be spent walking so the two of you slow down 

but don’t leave, wanting to stay in each other’s presence

you can feel his gaze fall on you, so you tilt your head up to look at him 

"so do you want to go to the library? we can show each other the books we were talking about" 

you look closely at his eyes, searching for something 

a sign of some sort you guess 

and you catch that glimmer of hope and nervousness written all over his face 

different from his usual 

gaining a tiny bit of confidence, "will this count as a date?" 

you voice becomes smaller at the end, showing your obvious emotions 

he twists his head to you in surprise 

the two of you stare at each other before forming smiles 

you distinctly notice the way his eyes change 

and he notices the way your dimples form 

"yes it will" 

now, you guys walk happily to the library 

and somewhere along the way your hands brush against each others

it’s debatable who initiated it, but your hands intertwined 

at the shelves, you decide to search for your recommendation first 

"i swear it was somewhere in this aisle” you turn your head around to look 

or maybe you were distracted by your hands still joined 

“what’s the author’s name?" 

you tell him and continue to search for the book 

seconds later, you feel your hand being slightly tugged up 

watching, as Wonwoo reaches up and picks out a book 

"this?" 

you smile and nod, kind of embarrassed for no reason 

which he thinks is adorable 

so after the two of you found your books, you guys settle at Wonwoo’s spot 

near the front of the library but hidden behind the shelves 

so when Junhui comes by to come bother Wonwoo like he normally does 

he sees you with your head rested on your book comfortably, eyes closed

and Wonwoo flipping through his book with one hand and the other under the table 

which Junhui could clearly see grabbing your hand 

and his first reaction is to scream and expose Wonwoo 

but he doesn’t

and instead gathers all the other boys to ogle also 

so Woozi is left with the honors of alerting the two of you of their giggly presence 

how could the two of you not hear them though, even if it’s a library, it’s 12 boys 

you open one eye confusedly from your quiet resting at the sound of taps hitting the table 

you fulling raising your body upright when you see Woozi s face instead of Wonwoo's 

and Wonwoo’s face turned away annoyed at the body language commotion from his friends 

"you two are disgusting” Woozi sneers hiding a smile 

you shrug and blow the hair out your face 

“ha just wait till you get a girlfriend, i’ll be ready to bother you" 

not even five minutes later, the 12 boys get kicked out because of noise pollution 

you and Wonwoo are alone again and face each other 

a half smile and half smirk forms on his face, "so are you my girlfriend then?" 

you want to say a just-as-smart remark but your heart doesn’t let you 

and neither does your face as it turns a shade of red 

"I-" 

"Will you be my girlfriend?” he asks, cutting you off 

you squeeze his hand slightly and grin 

“only if you’ll be my boyfriend" 

thus the bookworm couple was born 

and though you didn’t read nearly as much as him 

that table belonged to you guys

if anyone walked past it 

a common slight was Wonwoo deep into a book and you working on school work 

or you resting your eyes as Wonwoo does his work 

and if anyone comes by late enough 

one will most likely be asleep with the other grasping their hand warmly

he loves to poke fun at you just a little bit, ALWAYS in a lighthearted way

for example

if you do something dumb, he’ll be like “you’re so dumb” but give you a light kiss on the nose with that cute little giggle of his

naturally, he sometimes goes too far without realizing it, whether it be with his words or with a playful nudge that is a bit too strong

once he realizes it, you can bet that he will move heaven and earth to make it better again

will become your soft cuddle buddy wherever, whenever

you realize how subtly touchy Jeonghan was very early into the relationship

like

y’all would be sitting together somewhere and all of a sudden his hand is on your thigh and he’s moving his thumb in little circles

or he has a hand on the back of your neck or shoulder doing the exact same thing

y’all could be standing in line somewhere and there come the hands

you start to get accustomed to these subtle touches, and even grow to be relaxed by them

this really comes in to play when he’s tired

Jeonghan is very touchy feely when tired, even more so than usual

there are days where you really have to wiggle your way out of there

but, you will admit, there are also days where you just accept your fate and lay back down in bed

until the two of you realize that the entire day has gone by

but, you realized that you loved staying in with him more than you would going out

so you just lay back down in bed, ready to go to sleep

if the two of you can’t fall asleep at some point, pillow talk is a must

the two of you will just lay there, facing each other, talking about anything

however, when the two of you are actually motivated to go out on a date, one of his favorites would be coffee shop dates

he will be the one to introduce you to the perfection of maple lattes

the two of you will sit in the shop for hours just enjoying your drinks and being all heart eyes at each other

they are his absolute favorite

naturally, he picks the best one and uses it as his phone wallpaper

he treasures the time he has with you, but he treasures you the most wow that was cheesy

theres also another thing about Jeonghan that you picked up on early in the relationship

naturally, this worries the hell out of you, and you make that painfully obvious

however, Jeonghan always explains to you why he does it

he wants to make sure that he has enough put away to pamper you and spend the rest of his life with you

you would have to constantly remind him that you would rather have HIM forever than any kind of material thing

sooner or later, he will begin to understand that
