Heh..that’s kind of unfair since i’m paying i should eat more right? /he raises his eyebrow at you, watching the waitress come with the pie, placing it in the center of the table, he stares at the pie then at you; Let’s do it the way i said alright?

( `she can’t help but frown instantly, her stomach grumbling in protest at his words ) i guess... but don’t leave me with a crumb or i’m gonna start jabbing you with a fork! and lemme tell you, forks are very uncomfortable to deal with. you have to swear on your life you’ll leave me at least more than three regular sized bites.

“jeez, soojung. will you quiet down a little? i’m right next to you,” she says, tone playful. the claims about her well being are ignored as she continues to lead the way to her home; such pleas could easily be deemed futile when everything else about her indicated otherwise. youngji has never been great at reading people, but when it was this obvious, it didn’t exactly take a genius to figure out that something was off. “i’m not going to force you to tell me things if you don’t want to,” the female reassures her friend quietly. “but if there’s anything you want to talk about, go for it, okay?” the typical friskiness in her voice and attitude is now gone. when it came to matters regarding her friends’ conditions, she wasn’t one to joke around. 

soojung figures she’s a complete mess at this point, but it doesn’t really matter. she swore to herself that she would never let her tongue have a drop of alcohol unless it was during a time of absolute celebration or her life was going to shits. in this case, it was the latter. though she’d rather not worry youngji about her week falling apart, she feels the urge to tell the female everything. youngji had always been the kind of person to listen attentively and offer comfort, even if she had nothing much to say. grief and comfort twist together in the most heart-wrenching way and soojung nods silently, feeling more than grateful for her friend. she feels her senses slowly becoming normal again, and she mumbles softly enough for youngji to hear. “can i borrow a shirt first? i smell gross and i don’t think you wanna smell like alcohol either.”

“so you just admitted that you’re going into my files, huh? ‘cause you wouldn’t have mentioned trust if you were just really planning to call someone, mm?” head tilted at her in question, he snorts, rolling his eyes briefly. nothing wildly embarrassing was in there, at least– he keeps all things, well, nasty in some place safe. rubbing his chin out of habit, he rakes his head for at least a single mention of ‘tsum tsum’, but it doesn’t really ring a bell. maybe it’s just another popular game he failed to know of. “i don’t play much on my phone anymore, alright. wouldn’t really know.” the lad scoots closer to her so he could train his eyes on the screen as well, just to make sure she isn’t going through too many messages. “hey– who knows? it was a wild guess, and you don’t seem like the type to never get into a relationship either anyway.” he grins. “a while? it’s been three months, really. but i’d still love to know about these minor changes though. ah, where do i start… i guess if we look through the photos i’d find this storytelling easier. and you know, to be quite honest, you missed all the best parts of my life so far.”

to admit that she was going through his phone rather than calling someone like she claimed she was seemed to be of no use. but rather than confirming his accusation, the female replied with a snort and mumbled. “yeah yeah, believe whatever you’d like, as long as it helps you sleep at night.” she hunches over, back slightly facing him as her eyes dart through his phone and finger opening every text message she found suspicious. there was too much for her to read and comprehend at the same time, but she would pry it all out of him later.  “in that case, i’m going to do you a favor and download it for you so you know how to enjoy life. a phone isn’t just about calling and texting and taking pictures anymore. you need to expand its use!” she turns back to face him, shaking her fist to emphasize her meaning. of course, she figured he’d delete the game later. but there was no harm in keeping it on his phone for the meantime. “yeah, i guess. i mean, unless you count fawning over a boy from the screen as some sort of relationship, i think it might take me a while. besides, i’m very picky with boys. they have to fit my criteria and not make me want to choke myself while we’re together. i’ve had that happen too much already.” she rolls her eyes and sets the phone back into his hands. “alright kids, i guess it’s story time. you first, and then i’ll point out all the tiny little things that have happened within those months.”

You want their families to be rivals? I’m down. They dated the same person? Cool. They have the same classes together? Neat. Our first interaction doesn’t need to be our muses first interaction. I like having already developed relationships, adds a little something. Plus, gives the opportunity for a “how did they meet” thread later on.
