Sonurge is peakness

i dont really like making posts like this but i feel like its worth it to be a little open. i just lost my job (worked two years altogether, never called off, always came in uniform) a day after i expressed i was recently diagnosed with a degenerative disease in my spine and needed to work 4 days instead of 5. with no warning, write-ups or otherwise, they made up some fake story about "keys getting switched around(???)" to get me to give up my store key, and then fired me through text after i finished my shift and closed the store. they told me it was due to "dress code" and left it at that. this was a job i was a supervisor at, with otherwise literally no problems i have ever been made aware of considering i was praised by the owner of the store every time he showed face. but i also feel its important to note that i am an openly obvious queer black latino who showed an ounce of vulnerability in an "ex" sundown town. so what else am i left to believe? that a job ive been slaving away at for 2 years, that has had no problem with communicating anything else to me this entire time, would seriously fire a competent supervisor over an inch-above-the-knee pair of khaki shorts worn on a 90 degree day, a DAY after i asked for an accommodation as a disabled person?
