Stucky headcannon: favorite (non-sexual) body part of each other
โ Steve's never gonna forgive himself for letting Bucky fall
โ No, it doesn't matter that Bucky's alive and now his husband
โ He's still traumatized and beyond guilt-ridden
โ Holding Bucky's human hand comforts him, especially on his dark, stuck-replaying-Bucky's-fall days
โ Don't get him wrong, though, he loves holding Bucky's vibranium hand, too
โ It's a mixture of Steve wanting to silently reassure Bucky that he loves ALL of him
โ And his gratefulness for the technology that kept his husband from dying (even though he knows it's mainly fucked up, he allows himself to be grateful for that part)
โ Bucky has always gotten lost in Steve's blue eyes
โ He can tell exactly what Steve is thinking from looking him in the eye
โ He loves how he can always find Steve's eyes, either they shimmer in the light or they light up the dark, which Bucky appreciates more than he can explain (he doesn't try to)
โ There are times where Bucky will just stare into Steve's eyes when they're cuddled up together late at night, and although neither has ever said it out loud, they both know Steve's eyes are like a lifeboat for Bucky, so Steve won't close his eyes until Bucky feels safe enough to close his
โ Not to mention it's the one thing the hydra serum didn't physically change about Steve
โ And Steve's eyes were the last thing Bucky ever saw before hydra got him
โ Even as The Winter Soldier, Bucky had Steve's eyes pop up in his head from time to time, not understanding why they felt so familiar and loving until he "met" Steve decades later and Steve broke his programming
