reminder that you were a child. its not your fault, even if it seems like it might be.

You deserve to be happy. You shouldn’t have to give up your joy for the people around you.

Stop comparing yourself to other people, all it does is hurt you. There’s no correct way to exist in this world, so just be who you are because it’s enough. You are absolutely perfect the way you are.

fun fact. it literally doesn’t matter if your trauma “wasn’t THAT bad” compared to other peoples. its still trauma and it will affect you the same way. it doesn’t matter how “bad” it was, its something you went through and are continuing to live with the aftermath of, and, no matter what, everything you feel is completely justified.
