Like I’ve written essay length analyses, regarding Soren, Gabriel, and others, and it’s with these writings that I can better understand their personalities and fluctuate between what I consider canon/fanon.

MCSM is filled with alot of characters, a lot of endings, and a lot of choices. I really enjoy how these characters are written. It makes me smile :) . Those characters make up a huge core part of the game, and I feel that every person could make their own case as to why their favorite character is the best one. Today I wish to make this point about Gabriel.

Gabriel The Warrior is a member of The Order Of The Stone (old). He’s a man focused on combat, and spreading positive moral, no matter how in over his head he goes. He’s a man with such a popular face, and has such a reputation to uphold. Gabriel is a man, whose broken legacy has pushed him so far, that he felt as if he needed to continue pushing this “you can be a hero” motif to bring up others.

I think what’s most admirable about Gabriel, is how HE is the one to bring up revealing the orders lies. Despite wanting to keep up the “I was a hero, and you can be too” act, he set aside his own image, and reputation, to provide the people the truth. He’s such a lovable sweetheart, and ugh he’s just so cool.

Of course he isn’t without his faults. Gabriel during the groups travels, despite his either sickness, shares his views regarding friendship, and they’re less than fruitful. Going on to talk about how friendships can get in the way of the goal, how sometimes the sentimentals can cloud your view of what’s important. He’s older, his views of what’s important are clouded in broken relationships, a shattering self image, and a reputation built on a lie he can’t afford to tell everyone, in fear of all of his fans losing hope.

In this I find that Gabriel is someone whose personal life goal, is to help as many people as he can. Shedding a light of hope and growth to all those who seek him in their time of need. After the events of MCSM S1, Gabriel isn’t seen again, but mentioned in S2, as proclaimed by Ivor “doing the wandering warrior thing”. And it’s with this information, that I admire Gabriel for the man that he is. Someone who came to terms with this false legacy, and turned it around into something that he’s actually wanted to do. Helping people.
