I love a villain crashing out screaming "why is it you? it was supposed to be me, they were supposed to love me." oh that hurt so much. doesn't justify a reign of terror but oh hank :'(

like the map is so big and therefore annoying to navigate without the floo powder and tbh I don't care about the 30 repetitive hamlet outside of hogwarts, why is more of the game not just in hogwarts?

It's arguably to justify the main storyline but then I don't like the main story all that much either especially when it was very little effect

AND you don't really interact with the other students in a meaningful way? like every now and then you get introduced to a throwaway character thats as relevant as a shopkeeper you come across and decide to help. And obviously theres the longstanding quests with imelda, poppy, natty, and sebastian, but poppy doesn't tell you much about her until the end, and Natty's story is kind of wasted potential tbh. There's a lot left to the imagination, which is great for fandom for sure like I have a version of this story in my head that's great, but you spend so little time being a student it's weird.

I really think the game would be improved if you could just bring other students with you on certain main story quests and not have them relegated to only side quests. And on that note get rid of the million side quests and field guide pages and locks and chests.

the combat is fine. it is silly they even give you the option to learnt he unforgivable curses to use just casually with no repercussions. And the lore of the world is fine I guess... it's existing IP.
