As far as my wishlist for Luna, it's a bit limited but I want all the brother threads. I want her doting on them, being doted of and getting flustered and upset at it, I want the good and the bad. I want verses and AUs.

“But-”

Despite being told not to protest, Jude had started. Luna did have a point, he realized. He needed a nap at the very least. Going as long as he had without taking proper time to rest wasn’t going to help anybody. So, he finally nodded.

“Okay,” he said. “It shouldn’t take long to get all of this dropped off. I… take it you’re probably going to want to come with me to make sure I don’t just go straight to work, huh.” It didn’t surprise him that she hadn’t seen much more than him slamming into that pole. Just a bit of his ‘dead man walking’ walk prior to that, he imagined. That didn’t make it any less embarrassing, but he did feel a little better about it.

“We should probably get going if we want to get this stuff dropped off. If you really don’t mind coming along, I mean,” he said. Somehow, he doubted that Luna would mind. She’d been willing to check on him, anyway. But that was just what friends did for each other regardless.

“No buts.” Luna replied firmly, as she did once in a blue moon.

"Oh, I’m coming along.” Luna agreed with a nod. “I make you something to eat before you lay down, since I highly doubt you’ve been eating properly seeing as you’ve been ignoring sleep. I bet those protein/energy bar combos that are getting popular lately at your office according to someone.”

Of course Jude realized Luna had a point. He couldn’t help anybody if he was collapsed somewhere because he had gone without sleep. And food. Mostly sleep. He needed to get better about that, but the world needed him too and so he kept making the leaps in logic that he did.

“Don’t worry…” And that was when a blatant yawn escaped him. Jude did his best to try and cover it up, but the damage was already done. If Luna wasn’t already worried, she probably would be now.

“I do plan to try and rest soon, I promise. You know how it is, though,” he said. Once he got started, it was hard to stop working. That people pleaser within him just kept saying that he needed to keep working as hard as he could. It wasn’t even just the people of Elympios counting on him. Milla was counting on him, too, because she’d worked as hard as she had to buy them time to work on finding a solution. It was not only that time crunch that made him want to work harder, but also not wanting to let Milla down.

“Out of curiosity, how long were you watching me before I uh… hit that pole?”

"Jude! You haven’t been taking care of yourself at all have you.” Luna sighed and shook her head at his yawn. “Okay, after you turn this in then you’re going straight to bed. No ‘buts’ about it. I will get the others involved if you try to fight me on this.”

“You know... having so many brother is a bit weird at times. Julius, Ludger, Victor... it’s a big much when you get age involved because then Julius turns out to be the youngest unless we’re counting the Ludgers that are also twenty and not the prime dimension’s Ludger that is thirty but still looks twenty.”

“H-Hey, don’t worry. I’m fine, seriously,” Jude insisted. He’d always been bad at self care. That much wasn’t about to change. Just because he’d rammed his face against a light pole didn’t mean that he was incapable of getting where he needed to be.

As Luna checked him over, Jude managed a soft laugh. Since when did she worry over him so much? He wasn’t sure.

“You’re gonna keep looking me over until you’re sure I’m okay. Aren’t you,” he said. Not that he minded. It was nice to know a friend cared so much. Even so, he did feel pretty okay. Just tired from his lack of sleep, if he was being honest. Even then, Jude wasn’t about to admit that much if he could help it.

She moved her hand at that point, sighing rather deeply. The redness from the impact was gone but that hadn’t made any of the under the eyes bags fade which told Luna that the young man was pushing himself far too hard on this latest bit of work.

"I can’t force you to stop pushing yourself so hard but you really do need to rest once you report this latest finding, okay?” Luna asked him, staring him down.

“Yeah, I’m okay. Nothing a little bit of healing artes can’t fix,” Jude answered. His face was mostly what hurt, so it wasn’t like he was seriously wounded. More than anything, he was kind of embarrassed that Luna had seen it happen. He got to his feet and, after a moment, he concentrated long enough to use Healer. The headache ramming against the light pole had brought on slowly faded away before too long.

“i’m supposed to be getting back to Helioborg, so I was trying to let Balan and Mary know when to expect me. I think I’ve maybe made some progress, but… can’t be too sure until I let Balan look over my notes I took,” he explained. He’d also spent all night working on those notes. All around, it was a mix of factors that had led to Jude to be so lost in thought.

“Seriously, though, don’t worry about me. I’ll be okay. It’s just more stuff for Spyrite research, you know,” he said. As he looked at Luna, he mimicked her action and tilted his head to the side. “What about you?”

She straightened her head while raising a curious eyebrow at him for asking her how she was. She wasn’t the one that walked face first into a metal pole.

“I’m just fine.” she answered him, seeing as it would be impolite to just leave him hanging for that.

She then reached over and gently moved some of Jude’s bangs from his forehead. “Still, even with a healing arte you really should wait a bit before walking around. Those only do so much and you hit it hard enough I would worry about a concussion.”

Luna was correct in guessing that it was Jude making his way down the street. He had a lot on his mind and even more to say as he tried to text and walk. There was a folder full of notes and research tucked between his arm and side, and he looked as though he was in need of rest. All in all, a pretty normal state of being for the young researcher. However, he was so caught up in what he was doing that he wasn’t paying attention to his surroundings.

Thus, he headed right toward the light pole ahead of him. He finished sending a text on his GHS, and right as he looked up he collided with the pole. A resounding clang filled the air, followed by a groan as Jude fell backward and landed on his bottom. It was just lucky that he didn’t manage to drop what he was carrying.

“Sorry! Sor…” Jude started to apologize, only to see the pole. Oh. It was a light pole, not a person, that he’d collided with. His cheeks went red for a moment. As he looked around, hoping no one had seen him, he spotted Luna.

Well, darn. There went his hopes that he’d managed to evade embarrassment. A small laugh escaped him as he started to get to his feet. He didn’t even know what to say to her.

Luna had winced when she saw Jude walk smack into the pole, closing her eyes for a brief moment before sighing and staring him down, only after shaking her head at what she had just seen.

She walked over to him, more like sped walked over. “...are you alright, Jude?” she asked, cocking her head slightly because it was something to worry about that he was so lost in thought while walking around with so much.
